JFF: When You See a Subject Line....

When you see a subject line do you initially have a smart alleck response in your head? I almost always do. For example: the other day someone posted - snot! In my head I replied, hey now.....no need to call names. I can't be the only one to have a response to the subject lines. Tell me I'm not the only one......

What can I do next?

Definitely! Not only that, but I'll have a snarky response all typed up and then I cancel it too.

You are not alone!

... yes, sometimes.

And sometimes my 8 year old Daughter is next to me doing her homework etc., and she looks up at sees some of the subject lines- and SHE, even she will go "um, babies cry. Why is that so surprising to someone... babies cry, Mom gets no sleep, they should know that, why have a baby and then complain about it" and what not.
She gets amazed with the questions listed too. And has the answers for it!
LOL

But... i think everyone for the most part, posts things here because well, they are really needing answers.

I do that all the time too! LOL Especially if it's a question. "Am I wrong?" YOU SURE ARE!!! "What should I do about my out of control 3 year old?" TRY DUCK TAPE! LOL But then I read the question and answer accordingly but initially I have a quick response...LOL

I laugh at some of them...i dont understand why someone would post some of them. Others break my heart once i open them. I dont think snarky is the right way to look at someones posts titles. As for typing a snarky answer then not send it....sometimes they do get sent, and then its out there. and they hurt the person who was asking for help.

Oh my these answers were fun and thank you on this gloomy day inside.
I actually laughed out loud.
I actually think to myself, when I read the tag lines, "What the heck is this one going to be about? This should be good." Then I have to find out.
Sometimes they are deceiving. :)

I do the same thing and then usually once you read the question ( which 1/2 the time doesn't hardly apply to the subject line, lol) you can't post your smart alleck reponse! :-) Glad to know I'm not alone!!

Nope, you're not the only one. I think that's the mark of a healthy sense of humor. And when we read the request and give a sensible or tender answer instead, that's the mark of maturity and compassion!

Of course we all probably think something on one or two or however many. Sometimes it is just shocking and sometimes it is funny and sometimes it is just sad, but ALL the time there is a mom out there asking for advice for a problem she is having that is very real to her. I would hate for moms to quit writing for advice just for the fear of being laughed at by others.

lol - your post made me laugh. I do that all the time. Sometimes people ask questions that make you say huh what?? Are you for real? Seriously, did you just ask that question?? There was one with a woman who was 6 months pregnant or something like that and wanted to know if would ok if she went skiing. I HAD to post on that one. So did a gazillion other women lol. We all pretty much said the same thing. She ended up removing her post with a period since this site won't let you delete them. I think she got the idea : )
