Jff-what Vitamins Do You Take?

I take B-Complex for energy. Melatonin to sleep, and St Johns Wart for mood. I buy these 3 in bulk and can't live without them. I'm thinking about adding a multivitamin, but they usually just upset my stomach and make my pee glow in the dark! Have you found a mulit that isn't so nauseating? What other vitamins do you take and why? Any you highly reccomend and couldn't live without?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Don't forget to tell me WHY you take that specific vitamin and what each vitamin does for the body. For instance .....melatonin is a sleep aid. I dont know what fish oil or Omega 3 does. Does it make you sleepy or energized? Does it help fight off colds like Echinacea? I won't know if I should add them to my regimin if I don't know what they do! I respect those that say you get what you need from food. But Melatonin puts me out like a light within 20 minutes. What can I eat that's going to do that? There is real, tangible, immediate effect from the ones I use. I love them. And reccomend them to everyone.

The B-Complex and Calcium have totally changed my life. Really. I used to go crazy for 2 weeks before my period because my PMS was so bad. Now I don't even know when I'm supposed to start my period unless I look at a calendar. Fabulous!

None. If you eat a decent diet, you shouldn't need to supplement vitamins.

I take Oligo Multivitamin & Calcium supplements. I love them. The best way to take any vitamin is with food or just after you have eaten. Oligo is formulated for maxium absorption and reduces free-radicals in your body so even if you get a name brands from the store and the numbers look comparable, what you actually absorp from those is a LOT less.

I take them because I know my diet is lacking and they help me not feel so run down.

Hi T.
I don't take any. I think my body should get everything it needs from food, meditation and exercise.
I'm a great believer in mind and body connection and staying as natural as possible.
Thats just me,if it works for you than great.
All the best
