I'd love to get some pretty Christmas Stockings for next year! There are some great sales out there and I'm just wondering if anyone has experience buying them at a specific company?

Thanks!

We have a tradition in our family of making our own Christmas Stockings! I am SO very proud of them, I LOVE putting them up, it's pretty much my *favorite* part of the Holidays!

~I am not that crafty and had never use a sewing machine before...let alone knew any cool stitching (that I had to learn to do the lettering) but I learned and it was amazingly easy and the end result is PRICELESS!

I have a personalized stocking my old company gave the kids and I strongly suspect it came from here: http://www.aspecialgift.com/personalized-gifts/christmas-... or another company that carries the same.

I've also had good luck with this company: http://www.personalizationmall.com/search.aspx?sf=1&s...

DD's really cute in person, and I expect it to hold up for years. It's is fully lined on the inside, so no strings to get caught and pull.

try Lillian Vernon (lillianvernon.com). I got mine years ago and they are still as beautiful today as they were the first year we got them. The price is GREAT and they are quality stockings.

My only tip is to use the shorter version of names, as when they are embroidered the longer the name, the smaller the font. (ie Chris instead of Christopher, Katie instead of Katherine, though my Nicholas was perfect, my Joe stocking was breathtaking and the name stands out across our large family room ;)

Now is the PERFECT time to get them as they are having a huge Christmas clearance sale.

Good luck,

M.

I used a small business woman named Aunt Joy (Aunt Joy.com) after my last child was born. They are patchwork style handmade and I designed each one with her help so all are unique. Older children could design their own. I also had a tree skirt made. The quality is top notch. They are pricey compared to pre-fab products/ designs but they are so beautiful and have become a really special part of our Christmas. Good Luck!

Bronner's is a Christmas store out here in MI that is open all year round. Maybe you can look and see what they have. http://www.bronners.com/

Have ordered them from Lands End before and they're beautiful! I would bet they are still selling some in their winter clearance right now.
