Is This Normal or Should I Be Concerned?

So it started yesterday. I went to lay down for a nap, and everytime I laid on my right side I would get this horrible pain in my abdomen. So I'd roll over, and it would slowly go away. If I rolled over again, I would get the horrible pain, roll over onto my left side and it would slowly go away. Well today my abdomen feels like ****, pardon my language. I'm nauseous, lightheaded, it's hard to stand up straight, it's hard to sit up straight, and I hurt so bad. It hurts on the right side. I've had this annoying pain on the upper right side just below my rib cage for a week or so now, but this is my whole freaking stomach. Should I be concerned, or is this just one of the joys of pregnancy?

What can I do next?

N.,
You've probably already talked to the doc and I hope everything is okay. With my recent pregnancy, I had severe abdominal pain all over my belly that was not associated with contractions (at 34 weeks). Two days later, I got a really bad fever which caused fetal distress and led to a C section. Baby was six weeks early, needed oxygen, and got sick himself at 9 days old. Nightmare. Anyway, not to scare the BeJesus out of you, but go to the doctor and get tested for everything!!! If you need antibiotics, get them now. Hope everything works out.

You need to call the doctor and get in right away. Even if it is late when you read this, it is ok to call. A couple of things worry me... It could be some PIH going on or a gallbladder attack. Both are triggered in pregnancy and can give symtoms as you are describing. Good luck and keep us posted.

I hope you have long called the DR.

gallbladder
pre - e
placenta problems
even appendicitis

It's your Dr job get on the horn if you haven't already!!
Considering you need to lay on your right side to help with digestion and your left side to help with circulation... the last part might depend what side your placenta is on.

*I had my gallbladder out while 5mos pregnant and the pain was constant after eating I could eat no fat grams or I would get an attack
