I am looking for a neat way to store all of my children's digital photos...Has anyone tried or know of a creative program, which would help create a neat slideshow to store on a disk? Thanks for your time and knowledge!

What can I do next?

I use Ofoto.com , which actually is now...kodakgallery.com. Very easy to use and lots of great options. They will archive them for you on CD also. I have well over 300 photo albums saved with them (I get a little snappy happy with my camera), and have used this sight for 5 years now.

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 is what I use. You have to create the slideshow yourself. My husband is computer smart and he taught me how to do all this stuff. I love doing it! He said that there are programs that stictly do slideshows that are cheaper than this program. The program I use I can do video's on too - I do a home movie every year.

My husband made me a slideshow of our children using windows media player and one for my sisters wedding using NeroVision Express. Both are easy and you set them to music.

Everyone I know (including Oprah!) is using Picasa. It was also highly recommended in the Real Simple magazine. You can download the picasa program for free. Its SUPER easy to use and it will find pictures in your computer that you didn't even know you had. It organizes pictures and videos automatically and has pretty good photo editing. You can e'mail from Picasa and also create and save slideshows on CDs. It's great and its free! I also love Shutterfly.com (see recommendation below). So I keep all of my photos (digital and scanned) organized and stored on my computer using picasa, then copy whole photo albums to shutterfly.com to send to family.

Try www.shutterfly.com.
I store all my digital photos through their program.
The prints are fabulous and fast. You can e-mail "photo albums" to friends and family. They run fabulous promotions and you can have prints mailed to other directly. This is very helpful when getting copys for grandparents etc.

I started with Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0. It is free to download from www.adobe.com & is really easy to use-it can pull the pictures from your camera, delete them when it's done & it's really easy to make a slide show to e-mail people.

Good luck!!

I have an HP printer/scanner/copier. The software lets you create a really good slide show with music.

(Just like the first comment....)

Just recently I got VERY into making DVD/Slideshows because I found that we could no longer afford my scrapbooking habit on one income. I'm not sure if you have a MAC or PC.... If you have a MAC, there are two programs, iMOVIE and iDVD, which are very simple to use and easy to learn. There may be a similar program (perhaps called the same thing?) for PC. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We're making a DVD of my son's first year (including photos and videos) and giving that to the grandparents for Christmas.

Adobe PhotoShop Album is the best for storing/organizing photos and does slide shows as well. I highly recommend it.

I'm a MAC geek, so if you have a PC, this probably won't help you ... I love iPhoto and iMovie/iDVD. I created a really cool DVD slide show last year with photos and music, adding in text and transitions. The programs are very user-friendly and are a lot of run to work with.

I have a program called iPhoto that I love. You can make really neat slide shows. We also have iDVD which is also very cool. We just bought a new MAC that came with these programs so I'm not sure if you can buy them as a package or not.
