My husband is a computer geek and wants the kids to be comfortable around a computer as they grow up. So far, we show them family photographs and home movies (of them!) over the computer for fun. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any websites that have appropriate content for kids as young as 24 months (or even younger). Please note, I'm not trying to find heavy-duty educational websites or sites with specific purposes. I would just like to find something that is age-appropriate so I can give the kids a chance to press a keyboard button and make something happen (or try the mouse, etc.) Thanks for your input!

Hi!
I saw that most of the web sites that my kids visit have been mentioned, but when they were very young they went to the Fisher Price web site and loved it. The games are for little ones who only have to press any button to see results. On the home page you'll see the link for "fun and family time." Then go to the "fun and games online" and look around. Have fun!

starfall.com is AWESOME!!!! My child learned a great deal phonetically on there before he was 2 and now we are using it as an aid in reading and he is 3! He asks all the time to do "abcs on the 'puter". Have fun!

It think the first website we visited was PBSkids.org. Another really fantastic site (for kids over 3) is Starfall.com.

Have fun!

My 4 year old has been great with a mouse for at least a year now. We started with Playhouse Disney - Preschool Time on-line. There are some activites that are free, some that you have to be a member for. http://playhouse.go.com/v1/marketing/index.html
Now we bought "EasyLink" by Fisher Price, which allows the child to access certain sites without adult assistance. All preschool sites, no pop-ups allowed, etc. It's wonderful. I can let her play be herself. I totally recommend it.
