In This Heat....

what's your favorite deodorant/antiperspirant?

Looking for what WORKS. I like Degree - but it's a more manly smell for me.

Since I've had my hysterectomy and gotten older - things changed. So I'm looking for something that works in heat. We have a lot of humidity here in DC in the Summer.

thanks!

What can I do next?

Okay... I'm wrapped in blankets, in long underwear, and wishing for a fireplace...

But in deserts, jungles, and doing hard work:

Mitchum Unscented Gel.

Armpits, groin/bikini line, and cleavage. A lot of people forget those areas when you're not used to 100+ degree weather. It's the 'hail Mary' . Same places you wash if in a huge rush. HIGHLY scented areas. The 'smell' often isn't pits, but elsewhere. :/

I have to use Dove Clinical Strength. It is the only deodorant/antiperspirant that works for me. I stink, I mean really stink and sweat easily but I don't w/ the Dove Clinical Strength. It's a bit more, around 7.50 but well worth it!

I have tried every brand on the shelves, and now I use either Degree Clinical, Secret Clinical or Dove Clinical AND Dove solid on top of the clinical strength choice. It seems like they all tend to "fail" after I've worn them for a while, which is why I use all three brands. I stick with one until it fails and then switch to another and so on.

I was using dove, but I noticed that it started to not work as well out here (too humid I guess) and it was staining all my new T shirts.
I have recently switched to degree and it works ok. I also don't care too much for the scent, but as long as it won't stain my shirts, then I'm ok with it

Degree has some very feminine scents. I agree that it's very effective in this heat.

I used to use Secret, but found that the greasiness of the deodorant stained my shirts. It wasn't my perspiration, it was the deodorant! which took me a long time, and some nice shirts, to figure out.

I now use, believe it or not, Old Spice. For me, it is simple, no lotiony additive stuff that you find a lot in ladies deodorant, it's clear, and the 'man' smell isn't too strong(noticeable).

I'm glad that I've switched, but I agree, I don't know how long it will last before my body gets used to it, and I have to switch it up.

Dove, cause it doesn't make me itch or scratch looking like I have mange or something. :)

Oh, my gosh.

You are worried about deodorant and heat.
I am freezing my pits off.

It's the 4th of July and I literally have my heater running.

Anyway, even when I do have the luxury of visiting warm weather, Lady Speedstick works very well for me. I think Degree has deodorant for women. A W. I work with uses Degree, swears by it and doesn't smell manly.

I hope you get lots of great suggestions.
Send some of that heat to the Pacific Northwest, please!

I use Dove. I like Degree too! But, you're right, it is a manly scent. haha.

How are you in D.C.? My brother lives there, and posted a pic of a huge fallen tree on a power line near his apartment. He has power, but do you? It's been a crazy summer. I can't believe the heat!
