I am looking for a good ob/gyn near midtown, Plaza area or St. Lukes would be great. I am also looking for a good family practice physician for my husband and 2 year old son. I am looking for doctors who listen, are current and accurate with their information, and are thorough, but who do not do a bunch of unnecessary tests or too eager to prescribe medicine.

I would HIGHLY recomend Dr. Gerald Matile. He is wonderful. He is in the 4400 Broadway building across from St. Lukes, ###-###-####. I had a baby boy 9 months ago today, and would definately see Dr. Matile if I have any more in the future!
As far as a family physician, I haven't seen him, but have heard wonderful things about Dr. Killen in Waldo. Someone else mentioned him too. the next time I need to see a DR. I may try him as well.
Pam Auman, CNM is a great dr. to have! She is a certified nurse mid-wife who delivered my first and I loved the extra attention I got from her. She is at the Women's Clinic in the 4400 Broadway bldg. in the St. Luke's complex... that number is ###-###-####
I go to Cynthia Calbert, MD. She is with Lintecum and Nickell at St. Lukes. I LOVE her! And I have to say, every doctor in the practice is wonderful. Their number is 816/531-2111.
I also have a family physician in the area. We see Darren Killen, MD at Brookside Family Medicine (71st and Wornall). We love the office, you don't have to wait but a couple of minutes, and Dr. Killen is fantastic. Their number is 816/523-9355. I would highly recommend both of these physicians and their offices.
