I HAVE To Find Goosebumps Books...

I am an amazon junkie, but the Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine.... there are so many now, I don't want to have to order them all separately! That would cost a fortune.

I had my mom look to see if she had any of my old ones (starting with #1!!)... but she's sure she got rid of them.

I was really kind of counting on them for my 8 year old's Christmas gift :(

Is there any place you can think of that sells them in bulk (like #1-10, 11-20, etc)??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I've never heard of Half Priced Books so I'm going to assume we don't have one ;)

Well, the GOOD news is - you CAN buy the entire series, all 1-62 books.
The BAD news is if you buy them new, it'll cost you $450 (about $7.25 per book).
Back to the GOOD news - you can buy them USED for $185 (which is a much more affordable $2.98 per book).

I like used books and find a lot of them at Alibris.com
It's difficult to find a whole series with a single vendor, and if you buy from multiple vendors, although the book prices might be good, the shipping adds up and starts getting prohibitive.

Try a used bookstore like Half Price Books. They probably don't "group" them but they'll be cheaper than new.

Oh--there are lots of LOTS on eBay:

Did you try looking for boxed sets? Amazon has some that are 4 in a set and a private seller is selling 62 at once. You might try ebay as well.

Start by checking Craigslist in your area so you don't have to pay shipping. If you have time, search the local Thrift Shops, and piece them together. Used Goosebumps are pretty easy to come by, but finding them in good condition is the tricky part.

Good Luck!

Does your local library have a used book sale? Up here most local libraries hold an annual used book sale to raise funds with books donated by their patrons. Often kids books can be had for 25 cents a piece and there typically are a lot of Goosebump books. The downside is that most of the book sales are held in the spring and or fall so we are getting out of the prime sale times.

Here's a website that will help you locate local sales:

I have lots of them. If you make a good offer you can have them all. You'd have to pay shipping, of course. You can surprise him for his birthday.

Go to your local thrift stores and ask them to hold on to your name and phone # and see if they will be on the lookout for you and call when they come in. Good luck!

If you have the time, hit up some yard sales. Usually any books available there are on the order of 10-25¢ each.
Whenever I have been shopping for books that are part of a series that I have SOME of, I keep a list in my purse at all times. That way if I happen across one I know if I already have it or not...
Is there a used bookstore in your town? In Jax, FL there is a HUGE warehouse book reseller that gets tons and tons of books from all over... It isn't a chain, though there are several local locations. It is called Chamblin Bookmine, and they have a website.
