i am a photographer and am trying to start my own buissness and dont know how to go about it,can use anyones advice...i have tried a few things but nothing has worked..i am good at what i do,imavery good photographer.i have been doing it for sixteen years,but never profeesionallyi am to the point of giving up and going to work at a phography studio.have aplied at a couple place but have not heard back from them.im beginning to think it could be my age,i am not a spring chicken,so they may not want to hire me.i just dont know how to get started does anyone have any ideas??
Depending on the type of photography you do, I would get in touch with event/wedding planners, schools, churches, etc. and offer your services for a discount in exchange for referrals. You can eliminate the discount later once your business is up and running.
I don't know what kind of Photography you do, but we have found may Photographers we have used at fairs, Craft fairs, wedding fairs that sort of thing. If you are really that gifted you should drum up some business by just going to these things and displaying your work.
