How to Keep Bugs off Your Face When Camping

So my loving husband has us set up to sleep in a shelter (one night only) bc we will be trail running part of the night then continuing again first thing when we wake.I wanted to sleep in our car but we won't be near it & we aren't using a tent bc they have those shelter things on the trail which is basically a slanted roof over the head, the rest is open. I am concerned that a daddy long legger will crawl on my face while I'm sleeping so I'm thinking about wearing one of those ski mask hats. Does anyone have any other suggestions to prevent critters from crawling on me?

What can I do next?

Arbonne's Awaken Spray Mist it is really a great bug repellant and it is great for the skin and it smells wonderful. I also use it for room spray too. Look for my PM with more info about it. Have fun.

We used to camp with just a large parachute material tarp for tent and make it this way. You can take a large rectangle of tarp or netting, a little ball and some string. Tuck the ball in the middle of the material and then tie the string on the outside around the ball. Tie the other end of the string to something higher up (either in the shelter -bring a tack or nail- or just under a tree to a branch). Then tuck the netting under your sleeping pad/bag. We never had a tent due to weight issues and a tarp and string weight hardly anything.

Can you bring some mosquito netting to put over the shelter to cover the openings? Or rig something up inside the shelter so that the netting hangs from the roof and covers your faces?

you could buy some mosquito netting and custom make yourself a head cover. a little elastic around the bottom and voila! your head is safe. you would have to sleep on your back to keep from having netting patterns on your face in the morning.
