Hi moms,
Could someone tell me what is the best way to clean thetrampoline. We have a big jumper in our backyard and starting this year everyone who jumped has black dirt on their legs and clothes. I am not sure is this the dust (actually it does not look dusty) or black stretch material of jumper by itself. I tried to wash it few times but do not see a big difference. May be you know a trick. Thank you. Enjoy your day.

I don't know if you have the same problem as we do or not, but I have scrubbed until I am almost dead with no results. Recently my 3 yo daughter was on there and got off black from head to toe and I could barely scrub her clean afterward......We have come to the conclusion that we will just have to get another mat, and that it seems like this one is just old and wearing off like a rubber tire or something. I googled the mats and they cost a whopping 100.00 dollars (maybe a little less) but A new trampoline would cost a lot more, so we are going with the new mat idea. I wish you the best

We have a bunch of wood chips, leaves, rocks and dirt on our tramp that we just sweep out. Haven't had any problems with black stuff...

We just hose it down every few weeks. Seems to keep it a bit cleaner. Good luck and be safe :)

some trampolines just do this! our trampoline is 6 years old and has never left anyone black. My FIL/MIL has one that is much newer and the kids are always covered with black when they get off. I think it is just to material used. Look into a difference mat as Hopie suggested. I don't think you can clean it. Check reviews and ask questions if you can about that brand before purchase to see if this is a complaint!
Sorry no cleaning experience but hope this helps:)

I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to see what they recommend based upon the specific fibers they make their trampolines out of.

I'm guessing, because most trampolines are outdoors, they'll recommend a general cleaning solution. However, the black dirt you mention may be mold/mildew, so you may be able to get some good recommendations on safe products to use.

All the trampolines I used in many years of gymnastics were indoors, so that's my best advice.

Good luck!
