How Do You Wash a Purse?

I was wondering how you all clean the inside of a purse. I spilled a drink mix in mine and it's a sticky mess! The outside is still in great shape and I don't want to toss the purse, but I don't know how to clean it. It's faux leather on the outside and cloth on the inside. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks as always for your advice!

I spilled my coffee with french vanilla creamer in my purse last winter. The whole darn cup. I turned it inside out and cleaned it at the kitchen sink, under the running water. It turned out OK. Let it air dry.

Pull the lining out of the bag (not detach it!) and wash it with warm water, air dry. If you can't do that, run a little bit of water in the bag, swish it around to get most of the crud, dump and then rinse with a tiny bit of water, dump and air dry.

If a small mess, use a baby wipe on the inside. Baby wipes are also great on the outsides and bottoms!

You can use alcohol on a rag to clean the inside. Go slowly. Repetition is best. I watched my aunt do it to her purses. If you can turn it inside out or have the lining hang outside the main part of the purse to clean it.

Hand sanitizer, handy wipes and let it air dry. Then use the clorox wipes after to get any extra residue out.

ok I am not even joking, I have hand washed my purses and even when I was really grossed out washed it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. I always let them air dry, have not been brave enough to toss one in the dryer. And yes, these were faux leather as well. Lets just say I have one male cat who when he has a UTI always makes sure to piss on my purse should I be careless enough to leave it down...and nothing smells worse than cat pee, especially one who has a UTI.
As a side note though, in my instance I felt like I had nothing to lose, so if it is a purse that is truly precious and irreplaceable you may want to try a different method, although I have been fortunate so far, all mine have held up.
