How Do You Make Your Meatloaf?

Sorry, mamas, but I feel this itchy urge to buffer all these trolling questions with real posts...and as you can tell, I'm starting to lose ideas!!! But this does intrigue me, as I always hated my mom's meatloaf, yet I like my own.

So, how do you make yours? Anything unique? I would love to try a few different varieties!

(I know I already posted this, but mine is ground beef, an egg, GF rice krispies, a bit of Tamari soy sauce, and lots of salsa.)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Jo, you crack me up. Meatloaf is what I make when I want to spend 2 minutes on supper...you are absolutely adventurous if you follow that recipe!!

Yeah, the GF Rice Krispies saved meatloaf for us, considering GF crackers are, for the most part, disgusting and expensive. They work really well, and that's all I use them for...they're made from brown rice and they taste like it. Not the best cereal for breakfast, but great for cooking.

I use the Alton Brown recipe. It has a little kick to it. What is funny is Andy loves it, Andy is my kid with autism spectrum so he pushes picky eater to a whole new level. Andy love should be a food rating system. Sort of like Mikey.

I used to be a good cook but now I am in constant competition with my husband now so I have to bring my A game. Seriously, my older two, "you want to come over for dinner", who's cooking, if I answer Troy they are all over it, me, they ask what I am cooking. Granted Troy is a wicked good cook so I shouldn't complain.

They make GF Rice Krispies?! I'll have to look for those. On the earlier post about what everyone's making for dinner someone mentioned mixing sloppy joe mix into the meat. I like the Mexican style, with fresh jalapeño and some chorizo mixed in. Make sure it's the raw chorizo. Put some salsa and cheese on top.

I asked for meatloaf recipes here once and got lots. My husband and kids don't like meatloaf, but I love it. They had meatloaf at my sisters once that they liked. Turned out she added canned flakes of ham to the ground beef. I tried it and they liked it. My favourite meatlof has oatmeal and shredded carrots in it.

We use ground pork, beef and turkey. Mixed together with BBQ sauce & garlic. ( I make 3 at at time freeze them).

Cook, then BBQ sauce on top.

I love my mom's meatloaf. Ground beef, oatmeal, egg, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder and nutmeg. I like it with either baked or whipped potatoes, a veggie and salad.

I put ketchup on it my mom prefered mustard.

Whenever I make it the smell of it cooking takes me back to high school.

I use the recipe on the Lipton Onion Soup mix box.
It is GOOD AND EASY.
Even my Husband, who usually does not like meatloaf, loves it.
My whole family, loves it.
It is even better than my own made from scratch recipe. In taste and in ease of making it.

Salt, pepper, onions, oregano, eggs, parm cheese breadcrumbs and, are you ready for this, a dry mpg of sloppy joe mix. Yes that's right. A friends husband was making us dinner 40 years ago and told us what he put in. We though ugh. Well it just adds a little kick to it. You would never know that it was in it. I use about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs of meat. Never make meatloaf without it!

Meatloaf means that I can clean the refridge and add in whatever is in there (lastly cheese on top).
