How did a cheer uniform get black mold? Is it not properly cared for? Are you sure it is black mold?

You don't give us much info as far as the material type. Also, most cheer uniforms are owned by the school so you are responsible if something ruins one.

I'd first let the cheer coaches know what is going on and I would seek professional help from a dry cleaner.

Hopefully you can fix it, if not, you'll have to pay for a new one and the team will not be able to wear that uniform until everyone has their uniform ready to go... in other words.. 1 uniform out of service means the whole team has a uniform out of service unless your daughter sits out.

Your other question here was about a different cheer uniform stain last Fall (and B replied with the same link as the one B sent here below). Have you asked the other parents, are everyone's uniforms getting stained this frequently? Maybe you need to store and care for it differently? Cleaning a sports uniform should not be taking so much time+energy in your life!

Don't you remember how to clean it from last year?
How did it get moldy?
If it was caught up in a flood zone I'm not sure it could or should be salvaged but then again you'd be having bigger worries than how to get a cheer uniform clean.

Not all black mold is toxic mold,
Sometimes toxic mold isn't even black.

are you sure it's black mold? You know how dangerous black mold is, right?

I would bag it up and throw it out. Get a new one for her.

Sadly once you get that mold on fabric its pretty much impossible to get out. Just toss it and order a new piece.

Lady, you have bigger problems than a dirty uniform if you have black mold in your home, which it sounds like you do, if clothing is getting black mold! It is time to have a professional mold inspection and treatment. No point in buying new uniforms over and over if you're not dealing with the root problem. It WILL get moldy again. You can also get very sick from black mold, do not delay.
