Hello. My husband will complete his medical residency in July and we will be moving to Holland, MI for his new job. Just wondering if anyone has any info on Holland, MI--including neighborhoods, schools (Catholic??), and any other information that maybe helpful.
Thanks!

I don't know much about schools, but Holland is BEAUTIFUL... and Lake Michigan is fantastic :-) It is a pretty conservative area in general, so if you are looking for a Catholic school, you will probably find one :-)

I am from Michigan, and I can tell you I have never heard a bad word about Holland. It is a lovely part of Michigan, unlike the Southeast portion where I grew up. They have an amazing tulip festival every Spring. Literally thousands and thousands of tulips planted everywhere. I hope someone else can give you some neighborhood and school specifics.

It's a beautiful area! Have fun! I think you'll love it. Not sure about specifics, but my mom grew up in the area, and we still have lots of family there, and although most of them don't like where they live, I've never heard a bad word about Holland. We have also relocated several times, and usually I can get pretty good information googling "school" and the city name and things like that. Good luck with the new move!

I can't tell you anything about neighborhoods or schools, but we visited there the summer before last and absolutely loved the little downtown area. It was chock full of quaint little shops, restaurants, and pubs. It was a very cute area.
