I can not find a stackable highchair that comes with a tray for under $150-200.

Here is something, not stackable BUT by simpley changing the position can be used as a adult seat. ($100)

I know you said you were not impressed with the Ikea chair, but we used one with our daughter for the last 3 years and it was great. Super easy to clean and actually very sturdy. The legs pop right off so you can store it easily too if that is an issue or pop it in the trunk to take to grandma's. They also stack and we did not have any issues getting the tray on. I could never figure out how to easily get the tray off, but it was not an issue since you could just wipe down the entire chair. If you have any smaller kids you might need to get the blow-up insert just so you don't get copious amounts of food on the floor. You might just want to give the chair a second look. It really worked great for us and was very sturdy.

We used the Ikea ones with our twins, so easy to keep clean and to store. Also they can be used with older kids, you can push them right up/under the table like a booster. The tray is terrible, after the piece broke on one side it was much easier to remove.

Hi, there are chairs that attach to a counter. They are very sturdy and some hold up to 30 pounds. One is made by Inglesina...not sure how much you want to spend. Just look on line for "hook on high chair", I just found some from Chicco for $29.

IKEAs are actually really highly rated by Real Simple. I couldn't tell you which issue they did a comparison of high chairs within, but a few of theirs were, hands down, the best picks for inexpensive high chairs.

Call a restaurant supply store to see if you can purchase the ones that stack in restaurants, or get a few of the Fisher Price ones that attach to your kitchen chairs (http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product...)

My son's day care has some of the booster seats with trays that attach to the kitchen chairs. You can remove them when not in use. It is actually what I have used for all of my children. I never had a traditional high chair. They do take up too much room.

I ordered O. from a restaurant supply catalog because my son always liked the little wooden stackables when we wen out better than his gorgeous-oak-shower-gift O.!
