My family and I moved to Texas from Nebraska almost a year ago to be near my husbands family. Since we have been here the only people I hang out with are his family and our kids,I love them but need to get out and have some friends and fun of my own. Any suggestions?
Welcome to Keller. I'm down the street from it in North Richland Hills. I hate to say it, but I'm still finding it hard to meet new people out here. All my friends have come from my old job or my husband's job...or through sisters. I hope someone knows some good hang outs or places to meet friends...
Hi B.! Welcome to the area. I am a member (and formerly the president) of MOMS Club of Park Glen-Watauga. Despite our name, we actually include part of Keller in our area. We have several activities each week including park days, trips to the zoo, Mom & Tot lunch, Mommy & Me music and kid's craft club. We also have a monthly Mom's night Out. We also have playgroups for kids based on their age. I've made some wonderful friends (and so have my children) through this group. Do you stay at home? If so, check out www.momsclub.org. This is a group of moms that get together with their kids during the day to do various activities in the area. It is a great way to meet other moms and to get out.
Hi B.! I've got family in Nebraska, we're headed there soon for a visit. Have you tried meetup.com? I just joined two mom groups: Mommies, Inc. and Mommy and Me Playtime and they schedule all kinds of events every week in the area. They're really nice and it's great to get out and talk to other moms while the kids play together.
Ok so mommy time yes that can be fun but if you are talking about having woman time then YES You need to get out there! I found a lot of great ppl on meetup.com all local things and they do sooo many stuff. you can also find mom groups on there.
