Help - Could This Possibly Be Amniotic Fluid "Leakage"????

Hi Mama's! Okay, so I am kinda freaking out a little. I am thirteen weeks pregnant with my third child. I went to the perinatalogist (yes, I am OLD to be pregnant!) yesterday and they did a sonogram. They were having trouble getting the baby to cooperate to get a particular view that they were trying to get. So I had 45 minutes of a sonogram tech pushing VERY h*** o* my abdomen trying to get the baby to turn (stubborn in utero...will fit right in the family!) Anyhow, I was VERY sore yesterday - not cramping or anything - but physically sore. Today, I am still sore, but I seem to be having some "leakage". It is clear and odorless. Is it possible that all of the pushing and shoving could cause this or am I just freaking out? Please help! I am probably over-reacting, but I never experienced this with my last two pregnancies. Thank you in advance!

What can I do next?

At 13 weeks, you should NOT be leaking ANYTHING!!! I had my 1st baby at 25, and my 2nd at 39. I did have the leaking with both of my boys, but I was MUCH further along when it happened, plus I made LOTS of amnio. However, doing the sonogram should NOT have hurt AT ALL, so you definitely need to call your OB ASAP, and if you start feeling any worse at all over the night (assuming s/he tells you to wait until tomorrow am, and then come in to the office for a check-up), I would go to the ER.

BEST WISHES, and please let us know what the doc says!!

That could have done some damage and I would get to the hospital and have them check me out then call my doctor a.s.a.p.!!!!!! You need to find out what this is and make sure your baby is ok. We will also be saying a prayer for you and your family, (my best friend is on the phone with me and I read this to her, we both agree...get to the hospital). Better safe than sorry and it's not normal for them to push that hard and for you to be sore.

if it just a clear discharge you are ok.but if you feel like you are peeing on yourself or when you wipe its pink.go straight to your doctor just to be sure. i had leakage from the placenta , it felt like i had potty accident. they have test strips at dr office to check this.

Yes, call you OB right away. I had leakage and was hospitalized with both pregnancies, but was also much further along. Call now (answering service) if you haven't already.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR! It may be nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry! It may be something as simple as discharge but when my watter broke with my daughter it was just a little bit of clear/milky fluid coming out. Your doctor should be able to perform a test on the fluid to determine if it is in fact your anmiotic fluid or if it's discharge.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm almost 16 weeks along with my second child and I've been having a clear, watery discharge. I seriously doubt that the u/s did any damage, but if you're worried, call your doc. I was a little freaked when I first started seeing the discharge, but I go for my next appt on Friday, so I'll ask the doc then. I also have been having urine leakage already. And, I'm only 26. Hope that helps a bit!
