Help After a Lumpectomy

I had a lump removed from one of my breasts (it was benign), but now that breast is about half a size smaller than the other. Most of the time it doesn't bother me but sometimes I wear something that doesn't fit right because of it. Does anyone know of an online site that sells products to help "fill out" the smaller side? I've done a couple of searches but all I can find are products for post mastectomy. Thanks for you help!

What can I do next?

Hello C.! My name is A. C.. I work for Victoria's Secret. I am going to give you a link for online for shapers you can put in your bra. There are 2 different types in the package. One type is for push up shaper and the second type looks more like a breast shape. Both of these have helped customers in our store that have had a mastectomy to fill out their bras. They are availble in store as well. I really hope this helps you. Also we offer full adjustable straps with some of our bras that can help you as well! If this link does not work go then go to www.victoriassecret.com and type in push up shaper or style secrets. Here's the link.

C., I know they sell them at Victoria's Secret and even at places like Wal-Mart in the lingerie section. Or you can just do a Google search for "bra inserts" or "silicone bra inserts." There are tons of websites out there, including Amazon.com, that sell them online as well.

What a relief that your lumpectomy was benign. One suggestion that I have (and hopefully this won't bring out any sensitive emotions) is to find a store who works with breast cancer pts. You can call a breast cancer clinic who is associated with a hospital. Sometimes they have specialty shops that sell products like what you're looking for and they have specially trained associates to help you find your fit. Or, try a special bra shop (probably not a mall shop like VS or Soma) who are trained to help women who are post lumpectomy or mastectomy. I don't know of any in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Did you see an oncologist for your lumpectomy? You could ask someone from that office if they know of a place that can help fit you - oncology offices would probably know of a place.
Good luck
P.
I hope this helps you

this is going to sound really weird...but a ziplock bag filled (to your specifications) with peanut butter. :) i'll wait while you either get off the floor laughing or come back from being weirded out :) but you put the bag in your bra under the breast and the texture of the PB in the bag is very similar to a breast :) anywho, if you want to try it before you spend a lot of money :)

Have you tried the inserts that you can get to help you look fuller? i think the are foam. you could use just one on the side that is smaller.
i know my niece used them to help her fill in her prom dress.

try wal-mart of all place3s. i was in there a while back and a girl bought some shapers type to round her out. they were in the bra section and the kind of stick to you so they don't move around. your might try a pair and just use the one on the effected side. good luck. r.uhls
