A few days ago I started noticing little red bumps about a half dozen on my left Breast... Being close to my period I just thought it was like a pimple break out do to my period being close. But I thought it was weird however because my face usually breaks out, not my breasts! They started out looking like little pimples and now there's about a dozen and they have tiny black spots in the middle. I've looked it up online a bit but everything seems to be a dead end.. I'm very large breasted so maybe thought for some god awful reason it could be a fungal infection on my breast... I thought about going to the doctor but if I could find out the cause I wouldn't have to spend the $120 to go treat something minor and basic. If anyone has had this problem could you please share... I hate sharing personal info like this but hey!! We're all women, right!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So... I buckled. Lol it was already looking worse by last night so I went in this morning and found out that it's a fungal infection. (Gross I know) I asked her how the hell something like this got on my breast and went on to express that I'm a very clean person! She reassured me it had nothing to do with cleanliness. And she asked if I garden, and I told her that I work out in my garden alllll the time. She said it probably just came from me pulling weeds and then running my hand accross my breast. As easy as that. Next time I garden I'm wearing a plastic suit! Lol jk but seriously, GROSS!!! Thank you all for your input I really appreciate it!

I really don't know what it is, but why not just call your doctor? That's always my first step. I usually get a call back from the nurse who listens to my concern, usually asks me some questions and then either has a suggestion for me or calls me again later after talking to the doctor. Sometimes a doctor's visit is necessary but not always.

Call your doctor. Might just save you the $120!

Unless its deep its a dermatology department thing. I went to my OBGYN and it was a huge waste of time because they said they ID masses in their department, not skin issues. So in case you decide to see your MD just save the money and don't see your OBGYN unless its a palpable mass. Good luck. :)

Yeah, I'd be seeing the doctor for that one. It doesn't sound like a fungal infection. I't might just be blackheads, but I'd rather know for sure…

I think it's worth a trip to the doc, and I am one frugal mama. There are rare conditions that are serious that makes this worth your money. I won't frighten you but go see your GYN.

From another large breasted woman...

I have to be extra careful in the summer with the extra sweating to change bras daily and to use lots of powder, otherwise I will break out on my breasts like you have described.

Also, wear a clean PJ top every night, as my boobs sweat at night too.

Use only mild soap and and light lotions.

Always shower after swimming.

I find that my breast trap everything from sand to crumbs and those items can become an irritant.

I would say that I always have small red dots / pimples on my breasts. I've had dermatologist look at it and they have never said it needed to be treated.

I will often apply Psorian or other OTC skin creams to the area and it often clears up, but quite common returns during the warm months.

I would recommend you google Petechiae and ensure you don't have anything similar to that condition, as that is a condition that requires immediate medical assistance.

If you're not extremely bothered by, wait until you start your cycle and see if it clears up like other hormonal break outs.

Also, take a picture once a day if it continues to worsen so you can track it with real pictures, versus your memory of what it looked like when it started. It's easy to dismiss how it progressing or not when you see it up close.
