Has Anyone Heard of Mortgage Auditing Programs.

I received a letter about a mortgage analysis and refund review. They claim that mortgage companies are overcharging and are being forced to refund customers. They charge $269 and if they don't find a refund for your account you get the $269 back.

So What Happened?

I thought scam too but once they said that they refund you if they don't find anything I dropped my guard a bit. I know that the credit card company will fight the charge if they don't credit it back. I found mixed reviews on the company, but I'm going to pass on it unless I hear from someone that it worked for them.

Don't fall for that scam.

If you want a review, go through your mortgage company.

Why would you give access to your personal info (and they will get it too) to a company that you know nothing about? You might get hurt MORE than just losing $269. (And anyone who would scam you would keep your money, no matter what they promise...)

Be judicious with any account info you have. There are people who will pretend to be the "white hats" while they are stabbing you. Don't fall for it.

Scam!

They are using the foreclosure bashing as a way to sucker people. Your mortgage company has not over charged you. If you want to make sure pull out your amortization schedule and match it up with the balance. So long as you have never paid early or late it will match. :)

MMMM Sounds fishy to me, I would research this company before handing over 269.

I got this call a few months back - at that time it was $159.00........guess they had to increase their price due to lack of clients......we didn't do it - sounded fishy.

Sounds like a scam. They get lists of homeowners in towns and then they send out letters like this hoping to get some fish to bite.

We got several from different companies that wanted to help us. But I didn't give any info and after a while they stopped mailings and callings. If it sounds too good to be true or if you have to pay up front -- run.
