I like the idea of it, and my son loves the water AND slides so it's a perfect combo, just not sure on it. I need to see it in person too.

What can I do next?

I have never been thrilled with any of the pools that have slides. Unfortunately, the ones that have always held up best for us were the plain old pool. Nothing special, but honestly, they are the only ones that make it through the summer.

My daughter has a pool very similar except hers has two pools (one with the whale, one with a dolphin that sprays) and she loves it. You have to make sure the whale slide is wet otherwise he won't slide very well and it can get a bit hot if sitting in direct sun and you have to make sure the pool is sitting on rather soft grass or sand so that the impact into the water doesn't cause any problems for little behinds or punctures to the pool itself.

My inlaws always buy blow up pools and they last the one year. The tiny holes are really hard to find. When my older kids were toddlers, I bought a larger plastic pool that goes for about $20 at Toys R Us and we had a Little Tikes slide. We would put the slide in the water and they would slide down. Then when the pool was not in use, the slide was still available.

I would go for it... If he doesn't like the slide part, then he can just play in the pool part. I agree with putting it on sand or grass though...

We got a blow up pool from someone and I would never waste my own money on a blow up one. It never drained all the way with the valve so you had to tip which was a huge pain in the butt, the slide didn't hold my 16 lb toddler, etc the plain plastic circle ones work much better and last longer.

The problem with some of these ones is that
a) they are smaller then what it looks, like for example the slide is so tiny that your kid can't slide because just sitting at the top they already would touch the floor.
b) They are annoying to empty.
c) some brake quickly.
With that saying, yes I have buy one like that, lol.
She liked even if it lasted only one summer. Last one we got was a good plain one and I already had a plastic slide so I put the end in the pool, but she didn't even bother with the slide.

is the whale slide a blow up material?? If so I wouldnt like that feature. I would rather have a hard plastic becaue the blow up material usually never gets firm enough to hold a person. I have had this pool ...going on my 3rd summer for my daughter and she still loves it

That pool looks so tiny! You could get a cheepo plastic one for about $10 that would be twice as big and not near as much work.

How cute is THAT?

We had O. with a little sun shade over it--it was inflatable and we put it on the deck--no real problems with it.
