Okay, I have a great husband story...

I have been working like a crazy lady this year, but especially these last few months. The Company I work for just went through a decertification of the Union and I'm the HR Manager so I was working crazy hours. On top of my regular stuff. So, I'm looking a little rough round the edges! My husband bought me a plane ticket to go visit our son in Kentucky and visit with my best girlfriends! I didn't ask he just handed it to me and said "I love you and you need a break. Have fun"!!! He's a keeper!!!!

So, question...has your husband done anything amazing just because????

What can I do next?

Well, oddly enough, my EX husband gave me the greatest gift of all. Which is three spectacular kids I could not have come up with on my own. And considering taking care of others is not really his gig makes it doubly odd, and doubly great.

I know this will be looked on as bragging, but . . .

We had just had our 8th child (October 4th). My wife hadn't been home to visit her Mom, Dad, and siblings in 3 or 4 years. I went without lunch and saved my lunch money and bought my wife a plane ticket so she could go to California to see her parents and siblings for Thanksgiving. She left the Friday before Thanksgiving and returned the Monday after Thanksgiving. She had 10 days to enjoy her family and she only took our newborn with her (She nursed all our kids). I stayed home with our other 7 kids and kept the house clean, made Thanksgiving dinner, etc. (I smoked a turkey, made pecan pie, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, etc.)

I can't work now and she hasn't retired so now I do all of the chores she used to do when I worked and she ran the house.

Because I love her and wanted to do something nice for her.

Good luck to you and yours.

Awww...love that, thank you for sharing! That's super sweet of him to recognize your stress and hard work and do something to help take the load off. We should all be so kind to our spouses and so lucky!

My husband has probably done something amazing for me but I can't think of it right now. We're in one of our semi-annual "let's not talk to each other because everything we say triggers an argument" phases. Good times over here!

It's not one big thing, but the little things my husband does. I always go to bed earlier than he does, and every night during the winter, he gets in on my side of the bed and warms it up for me while I'm getting ready for bed. He knows how much I hate crawling into a cold bed!
Things like that. :)

Aw! I love this!!

My husband does little things all the time to make me happy. I really have an amazing husband. It's been a long ride to get here, but he's so fabulous.

Good for your husband! And enjoy the break!

Ummm, your husband is definitely a keeper in my book! My sweet husband does little things, like take our five month and seven year old on a long walk, just so I can have some down time. Now, if I can just get out of the house to go use the giftcard he gave me for a facial, that would be great!

I am in school right now and my schedule changes weekly. He has really stepped up to the plate picking up our boys, keeping the house in order, and giving me freedom to study when I am home.

Oh wow, yes he is a keeper.....Ok so my hubby is deployed to Kuwait and I work a full time job and we have four children. So for our anniversay he sent a beautiful flower arrangement to my job on a Friday, Saturday he told me to go get a pedicure and on Monday he sent a ediable arrangement to my job. If that was not enough he sent me to my favortie seafood restaraunt after I had an extremely hectic day dealing with toll fees!! Yes I truly love this man and I am already putting together his box for Christmas!!!

The last five years of our marriage has had its share of medical issues. Hubby now is "my house mouse". He had taken over the dishwasher (load and unload), cleaning up the kitchen and making me coffee every morning for work and sees me off with a wave. He also says his task is to find the tings I misplace as I leave for work in the morning.

It's taken a long time but it did happen. So yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel for husbands to do nice things for wives. Soon I will be home with him and we will do things together including me doing more amateur radio calling. "CQ, CQ anybody out there?"

I'll keep him around to keep me out of trouble.

I know this is off topic but I am curious about what it means to go thru a "decertification of the union" and why this made a crazy amount of work? What exactly is this? Please give more details about this process and what it means for you and the employees of the company...

well, he picked up his dirty laundry the other day. :)

after 32 years of marriage, I should have a list.....instead what I will say is that I appreciate the lack of jealousy & insecurity which is present in many relationships. He has his friends, I have mine. He has nights out (poker....just visiting) + his fishing trips, & I have my weekends away with my Mom/Sis/best friend...& sometimes our sons. It all balances out in the end.....
