I'm absolutely addicted to the Kindle that my hubby got me for Christmas! I've been reading with every free moment I get! I need some good book suggestions! I'll read anything but I typically don't do sci-fi or fantasy. Thanks ahead of time!!

I always highly recommend the Diana Gabaldon series that starts with Outlander to anyone looking for something to read. Such an amazing series of books that are very well written.

I wanted to just be sure you know about Kindle Singles. If you search on Amazon's website look for the Singles. Much cheaper and a short book helps when you're a busy mom. I love my Kindle but only read before bed for 10 minutes if I'm not exhausted.

I would just go to Amazon.com and start searching their Kindle book selection and read reviews. Or, join Goodreads.com for more book reviews.

Go to www.goodreads.com.
My husband just introduced me to this site.
You can pick the genre that you're tyipcally interested in, and it will make suggestions for you. You can read the summary of each book and see if it sparks your interest.
You can also have "friends" on the site to recommend books to one another and share what the other has read.

I am not an avid reader by any stretch of the imagination, but my husband also got me a kindle. The Hunger Games were recommended to me and after reading the description, I thought, not really something I would want to read. Well I did read the first few lines of the first chapter and was hooked. This is a 3 book series and I read all 3 novels in 4 days. This is a great read, give it a try. :)

My favorite part of the Kindle is the free books. I can read a book and determine if I like the author enough to purchase more of their books, or I can just delete the book if I don't care it. I saw from another post that you are a Christian, and the free book area has alot of Christian-based fiction, including mysteries, romance, and thrillers.

Hey there! I'm loving my new Christmas Kindle too. Here's another source to help you look for books with like-minded folks. Like the Goodreads suggestion, LibraryThing.com "connects you to people who read what you do" and a whole lot more. Check it out!
