Good Salad?

Hey, I have to go to my son's school on Monday as they are having like a family brunch thing. Everyone signed up for either salads or desserts. There were a lot of desserts so I signed up for salad. Anyone have a yummy recipe or idea of what I could bring. There are children with nut allergies so I have to take that into consideration.
I had thought of spinach leaves, cranberries or something yummy kids would like too. My kids thankfully like salads mostly but I need to provide this for up to 10 people so quantity is a factor too.
Help!

What can I do next?

I have a great recipe for a Cheeseburger Salad. It is a lettuce salad that actually tastes like a cheeseburger. Kind of a fun spin for the kids. If you want to send me your e-mail address I'll send you a copy of it.

My kids enjoy a fruit salad that is simply called 5 cup salad. It is really easy to make and very kid friendly:

1 cup Grapes (I usually cut them in half)
1 cup Mandarin Oranges
1 cup Marshmallows
1 cup Pineapple
1 cup Sour Cream (I know, it sounds weird, but it is really good)!!

Mix it all together and let sit over night in refrigerator. Do NOT stir before serving.

Good luck!

Honestly, preschoolers respond best to the simple things - I'd take a simple fruit salad, no dressing or anything. Grapes (cut because there may be little ones), apples, bananas, maybe a can of mandarin oranges. I've done that every time I've needed to take one to a preschool setting and it's always the first bowl that's empty.

Here's an awesome spinach-strawberry salad for you:
1 bag baby spinach (I usually remove the stems - personal preference)
1 pint strawberries, washed and sliced
3-4 green onions, sliced
Dressing: In a jar w/lid, 1/4 C. red wine vinegar, 1/4 C. sugar, 1/2 C. olive oil, and a bit of paprika (a few shakes)
You will be amazed at how easy and good this is!

I don't know measurements here, so this will be a guesstimate....but this apple and banana salad would go great on top of spinach.....

5 apples peeled, cored, and cubed

3 bananas cut

1 c mayo (I know it sounds weird but TRUST me, kids love it)

1/2 c sugar

1 Tbsp cinnamon

Mix the mayo, cinnamon, and sugar and put aside
put apples and bananas in a bowl and fold in the dressing.
try not to stir too much or the bananas will get mushy.

I usually put walnuts in as well but the salad is just as good without it.

My kids like things like broccoli slaw and other salads with broccoli in them. You can always just leave out the nuts. That's what we do for our little guy. Have fun!
