I am having a friend who is a professional photographer take some candid outdoor photos of my daughter, husband and me. We just can't bring ourselves to sit in a studio and do the whole posing/smile on cue thing...it's just not for us. My friend lives/works in downtown houston so he doesn't know my area well enough to pick a location and we moved here from Austin and don't know where to do this besides the obvious, galveston beach. Can any recommend a spot? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are going to take some ourselves when the bluebonnets start blooming but we know where to do that going the back way to Austin. Our daughter is 10 months old, so it would have to be somewhere she could be able to crawl around. Thanks ladies! :o)

What can I do next?

It depends on when you want to take the pictures. If you wait a little bit many of the bulbs will be out and blooming. Bay Area Park has a little Japanese garden. In a month or so, it will be in full bloom, and it's just stunning. There are patches throughout the area that a baby could crawl around in.

I KNOW there are more locations, but I can't think of any right now! Lol! I hope some other moms will chime in for you! :)

There is a place on 518 in League City "Under the Oaks" they have weddings and stuff there and its pretty. I have seen pictures that were taken there and they are great! I'm not sure of the ground for her to crawl on though.

There is a gret park/stream area in Pasadena next to the Pasadena High School off of 225 (South East of Houston). I have a friend who is a photographer and he does a lot of shoots down there.

Hope you find a place!

Armand Bayou is very green and quite beautiful. It is at the east end of Bay Area Blvd. And there is a park on Bay Area, just east of University of Houston. Either would provide very nice green for a photo.
