Hello,

I am new to Arizona and recently pregnant. I am looking for an OBGYN near the west side of mesa (chandler, tempe or even parts of gilbert would be fine). I would prefer a female doctor. Thanks for your advice!

What can I do next?

I have also heard good things about Dr. Tamanaha (he's a male dr, by the way). My doctor is Dr. Ernestine Bustamante-Roman. I LOVE her. Very personable, easy going and flexible. She's at New Horizon's Women's Care. The office across the street from the Chandler Hospital.

I love Dr. Christine Brass-Jones of True Harmony Wellness & Medicine. Her approach is to meld the best of both Eastern and Western medicine and I love her balanced, holistic approach. She also has a naturopath who works out of her office. She delivered my second child and both of my sisters'. She's located on Country Club and Baseline.

Oasis OB/GYN!!! They're located on Power and Brown in the Hershey plaza. I realize it's not the west side, but it's only a 30 min drive for me and I live out in the San Tan Valley/Queen Creek area.

Dr. Messer is great though! Delivered both my girls. I do suggest you get morning appointments though if possible. Afternoons are often really busy and can have long wait times. It never bothered me to wait since I realized that it was because the NP's and Dr. Messer were taking their time with the patients and not rushing anyone!

Good Luck and Congratulations!!!!

Goodman and Partridge Obgyn. Let them know J. Browne referred you. I just had my baby 5 weeks ago and loved them. I moved here a year ago and found them. All the doctors and nurses are wonderful. They are located in Gilbert across from Mercy Gilbert Hospital. Off 202 and Val Vista

I LOVE Dr. Brass at True Harmony. I just had my second daughter with her. She's amazing. I love her office and the staff. They offer so many services beyond your traditional OBGYN. It's truly a place of total wellness. My husband even goes there to particpate in their wellness program (we each get a massage once a month). I also love the other 2 doctors that she's partnered with. You would only see them if she can't deliver you for some reason. I actually use to go to one of the other OBYGN's, Dr. Bullaro who is also wonderful. She's actually Dr. Brass' OBGYN. :) I met the third doctor when I delivered in January, Dr. Newman, and really liked her too. We were in the hospital for 3 days and Newman was covering for Brass on Saturday so we got to meet her.

Check out my review (and others) on here. Like I said I've had another baby since I wrote it. http://www.mamapedia.com/business/12258583115785568257/de...

Contemporary Care for Women (www.careforwomen.net) is an excellent group of doctors that I trusted to deliver my 3 kids. I had 3 different doctors attend my deliveries, but had Dr. Tamanaha for my prenatal care (he delivered my first but next 2 came too quickly for him to get to hospital). The office is efficient (in and out quickly for check ups), competent and very caring. Best wishes. R. (midwife mom of 3)

Dr. Tamanaha is very kind and gentle if you're looking for a traditional doctor. If not, try Dr. Brass-Jones. I have been to both. If you're looking for a midwive, try http://www.drkells.com, they deliver at Mercy in Gilbert.
If you have had multiple C-sections in the past and are looking to have a natural birth now, try Dr. Steve Nelson in Phx.
