Good Camping Location in Michigan

LOL...Michigan does have mosquito's, but I've never been to a campground swarmed with mosquito's and I've camped a lot in my life!

I'm not really familiar with many campgrounds south of me because we mostly go north. But my advice would be to check out the state campgrounds. In my opinion most are kept very clean, have great restrooms and are nice.

At this website you can search the map then look for what they have to offer. For the best beach type campgrounds, your better off looking at the ones near the edge of the state near our great lakes.

The remark about mosquitos is silly. We don't have anymore than anyone else does.

Michigan has more mosquitos than any other state I've ever been in.

Ludington State Park is a great campground. They have a beach right on Lake Michigan, a river that you can tube/canoe down, great trails, dunes, a small nature center, waterfall, fishing, boating, etc. The only problem is that it is very hard to get reservations.
