Good Abs Dvd/vhs

Hi - I used to have some great abs tapes but they have disappeared! Can you all recomnmend some good ones to me? I love doing abs and need to get back into shape so badly! Am pretty much into the crunches on the floor type of workouts, weighted ball, etc. Would appreciate any suggestions! The harder the better too!

8 Minute Abs is good and another tough but good work out is Winsor Pilates (there is an abs focused one as well as other areas and all over body work out). 20 minute work out.

There is a set of DVD's out there called Turbo Jam. On there they have a ab workout called AB Jam it is 10 minutes standing and 10 minutes on the floor great routines. I love it cause you can do one or both and I really like the flexibility in it.

I use Pilates CRUNCH!! It's like $10 at Wal-Mart. It has a lot of Purple on the cover and a brunette. Love it :) 30 min total 10 min for each area of body, one is abs. Or you can do all three.

I do Tae Bo and I use the Billy's Boot Camp Mission Three: Rock Solid Abs video. It is the greatest ab workout! It only takes 25-30 min and is VERY fun!
Since you mentioned "the harder the better", I think you
would enjoy this video. The exercises are not hard to do and the video is not hard to follow, but it's a killer on your abs! You'll definitely know it's working! :)

The Turbo Jam ab workout is great. It's 20 minutes long with 10 minutes standing ab work, and 10 on the floor. The floor workout gives some great opportunities to make it really hard if you want or still get a workout on those days when you really don't feel like giving it much extra effort!

First of all, targeting just the abs is not going to get rid of the fat on top of them..Doing crunches and such all strengthen those muscles, but again, without eliminating the top layer of fat, you'll never see the results. When it comes to abs, diet is key, along with overall cardio/strength training. If you want to see results immediately everywhere, I highly recommend Jari Love (you can get it on Amazon). Start with the first of her series. Let me warn you though, it's not for the faint hearted. Maybe you can start with very little or no weights and work your way up. I am an advanced exerciser and have been challenged by her videos. I definitely saw the results right away. They're about an hour long, so hopefully you can find that time for yourself. Good luck!

Winsor Pilates (by Mari Winsor) has been my lifesaver. My DVD set includes a basics instruction video, a 20 minute workout and a 50 minute more advanced one. My tummy is flatter and stronger (and after 3 large boys via c-section), and not only that but my whole body is leaner, stronger and more toned and I am more flexible than I have been since high school, maybe more. All I do is the 20 minute workout 3-5 times a week and its been awesome. I hope you find something that works - its so nice to have a routine that's your thing and works. Good luck!
