Our youngest loves to write, color all the things she shouldn't - she took her sister's lipgloss and worte all over the face and neck of her Disney Snow White doll - one of those soft floppy dolls - I immediately tried cool water and soap and it didn't budge - I'm worried about cutting through the greasiness of the gloss - was afraid to try alcohol - ? thanks - I knew immediately where to turn - I know someone will have my answer!
Hi Rene'. If the doll is washable try shout GEL. I have had lots of success getting just about anything and everything out of clothes etc with shout gel. The trick with shout gel is to let it sit for a day or so (you can let it sit for up to a week according to the directions). Good luck!
Dawn dishwashing liquid works great for grease stains. Good luck.

First let me say I have never tried to get gloss off of a floppy cloth doll! BUT my mom swears by Original (blue) Dawn dish soap for EVERYTHING! Might be worth a try...

try lestoil. it gets out all greasy stains (that haven't been already through the dryer)
you can get it at a hardware store, like truevalue. not sure about the big box stores like home depot or lowe's. you could call and ask.
fyi it's used for cleaning up oil stains on cement, but is perfectly safe to use on laundry. not sure about extreme delicates, but most all other laundry items it works like a charm.
try dishsoap or mix very hot water with oxyclean then clean the doll
Rene'--Mary Kay's Oil Free Mascara remover. If you don't have a consulant--let me know. I'll gladly send you a sample for you to try. All I can say is--if it can get MK's Downtown Brown lipstick out of brand spanking new very light beige carpet--it should be able to take out the gloss. Best of luck! Please post an update to this once you figure it out. I have cherry lip balm on our daughter's glider (from her big sister of course) and I can't get it out of the fabric either! I'm in the same boat as you, only I'm limited because I can't throw mine in the washer. :)
