What can I do next?

Nope. No sickness at all here. But I don't vaccinate my children so their immune systems are extremely strong. All of the sicknesses you mentioned have been going all around my 6 year old's classrooms and she has not gotten any. And no allergies either and we live in a very high allergy area.

We havent been sick for 2 yrs or more. I give my kids vit C and vit d3. they make them in gummy form so easy for kids. And my youngest suffered ear infections for the first year of her life and I was at my wits end with the antibiotics. So I took her to Dr Frack in Webb City. Hes a chiropractor and poof hasnt been sick since.

Hi Mommy of 1,
I'm sorry to hear your little one has been so sick. Some of my favorite resources are, Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child.

If your child has recurrent ear infections and strep, I would suspect your child has been on several rounds of antibiotics. If this is the case, I suggest your work to detox your child's body and boost his immune system. His body is possibly in toxic overload. If he were my child I would do the following to help him get back on the path to health and wellness.

* Find a child friendly chiropractor in your area and have him adjusted a few times depending on the chiro's recommendation. This will help to clear any interference and insure that his nervous system is functioning as it should. Chiropractic adjustments are also beneficial for ear infections as they put the body back in alignment and allow for the ears to drain and the body to heal itself. Cranial Sacral may also be beneficial for your son to help with the recurrent ear infections. icpa4kids.com

* I would closely examine his diet and eliminate ALL added sugars, processed foods and dairy products. Focus on feeding him whole foods(fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats and whole grains). In cases of recurrent ear infections, dairy or food intolerance is almost always the culprit.

* Boost his immune system with extra vitamin C and D3. Give the vitamin C to bowel intolerance and the recommended dose of D3 for his weight.

* His body is likely in a candida yeast like state after the antibiotics so it is important for him to be taking a probiotic to reintroduce the healthy gut flora back into his intestinal tract. The suggestion above to eliminate ALL added sugars is extremely important if he is dealing with candida. Candida feeds on sugar & carbs.

* I would strongly consider using herbal or homeopathic remedies to treat his ear infections, strep and allergies. Gentle detoxes for kids have been beneficial at helping the body get back in balance. Herbs for Kids has an Echinacea/Goldenseal or an Echinacea/Astragalus Herbal Drops which will help to boost his immune system.

* I would look into finding a naturopath to help him get back on the right track.

Check. Please.

We just came home from our 2nd hospitalization (1 week 2 and a half months ago, and 1 week this month) and it looks like we'll need to go back for at least a few more days tomorrow.

Sadly, some friends I'd made back in Feb were STILL there when we returned, and will be there for 6+ more weeks. So I know I should count myself lucky.

I am! My 6month old has been in er twice (urgent care won't see him that young) for just bugs but high temps. Now there is pinkeye going around his room which we thought he had but doesn't. And add teething on top of that. My 3 year old had lice going around his room and then strep. Luckily he never got those but did get a cold that he had to stay home for. Ugh! I am done with it too!
