Ok I have been praying to God to bring me and my husband closer together he is a great husband but as men sometimes do. They get too comfortable. And forget to tell u how much they love and appreciate u. They forget to complement u and so on. But lately he's been doing that and then some. And I feel like I'm being punked or is God giving me what I prayed for?

What can I do next?

It sounds to me as if "words of affirmation" is not your love langauge. There is a book called the Five Love Languages. It's a very good book that is Christian based. It talked about how every person has a love language.

1. Words of affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Recieving Gifts
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch

Anyway, the jist of the book is simple: If your spouse speaks your love language to you, your "love tank" is full.

Mine, for example is acts of service. If you want to me be happy - do something for me. While my husbands is physical touch - hugs, kisses throughout the day, etc. (which is hard for me to do, as I am not an affectionate person, but I do it anyway.)

Anyway, I can't do the book justice - check it out...

Hi B.,
I am confused about your request! So…
1) You prayed to God that your husband would pay more attention to you
2) You husband is paying more attention to you and even giving you complements
3) You ask if you are being “Punked”

Are you insecure? I would accept the complements and only judge them negatively if you have good reason to believe that he is not being sincere. I hope everything works out for you, it sounds like you have some trust issues.

Trust that God has heard your prayer and that these changes your husband is making is through him. Be greatful and postive! I hope your situation continues to get better and you continue to be blessed. Remember, what you think about about you bring about! =)

Sometimes God gives us things sooner than later but doesnt mean to start doubting what God can only do. Thank him for the change and continue to trust that Gods hand rest on your husband. God can take it all away be grateful that he cares for your desires of your heart.
