I have the Babyliss Pro Titanium and really like it. I used to have a Chi Ceramic but the edges often caught my hair. You can get a good deal on one on Amazon. It is worth the money.

CHI... it does not have a temp control setting, you control the heat with the amount of pressure (how hard you press.it onto your hair). Everyone I work with at the salon now has a CHI and we have all tried just about every iron out there. Check around for prices, I work at JCPenney, we get them in new colors every season, the old get clearanced out. We just had a teal one go for around 50 or 60. They are usually around $150. The problem someone mentioned about the cord shorting out has been.fixed by the company, now they are manufacturing them here in the US, the electrics in them were being damaged when they shipped them from Japan. I would still be careful not to wrap the cord too tight when you store it though.

I had a CHI flat iron for awhile - I did like it however I made the mistake of storing it with the cord wrapped up in a circle and it stopped working - note to self READ THE LABEL (it said it right in the directions).

I didn't have the extra $ to replace it so I got a Revlon "Wet to Strait" and I really like it.

I really like my Remington Wet to Dry - it has 30 temp settings and you can adjust weather you are using wet/damp hair or dry hair. I suggest no matter the iron you go with you use a heat protectant on your hair.

If you want high end (I do not see why if you have straight hair already) a Chi is really good quality
If you want a low cost good quality go with the Remington

My previous one was a real cheap one from Walmart and I loved it until it died. When I tried to replace it I was not happy with the few I tried. Then a friend gave me her CHI that she was not using. I LOVE it. So if cost is no object I recommend the CHI.

CHI hands down.

I rarely use the flat iron but my daughter uses the CHI (not daily) and it is fantastic.

Chi or Argon. I have the Argon they are priced the same. Just so happens the Argon was on sale the day I went to get a new Chi...I love it.

I have a Chi that I love! Check out Ulta or Target - sometimes they offer specials with it (got a $20 Target giftcard with free shipping).

I also have a Wet to Dry and I like that...but for the best flat iron, CHI.
