Finding Those from Your Past

Does anyone know of a site that is free and will give you an address or email address of a person you are looking for? Every site I have found will show you they have found the person you want, but then they will not give you any more info until you have paid for it. I have tried face book and my space, as well as many search sites. They all show his name and family, but then want me to enter my credit card number in order to show an address or phone number.

So What Happened?

Face book did not try to charge me, but if someone is not on face book you can not find them there. :) Thanks for your advice. From what I have seen and been told I guess it is hard to find any site that does not charge these days. I may just have to bite the bullet if I truly want to reconnect with this person. I think I may have found his mailing address, I had just really hoped for a email.

I haven't looked at any other responses, but have you gone to whitepages.com? If you have the person's name and a possible city he may be in, it will find any address that is listed (if he is unlisted, then you won't find it on here, but I go here a lot to get addresses when doing thank you notes, etc. and has proven to be pretty effective!)...good luck to you!

This website has a lot more info about yourself that you'd ever want it to have, but if you need info on someone, they show it all!!! Addresses, phone numbers, who else lives in the house with them....Etc.

e-mail addresses are generally pretty tough.

It depends on how you want to find people.
Google, DogPile, etc. can be great just to put their names in and see what you can find.

I have been amazed at the people I've been able to find on Facebook - but, most people restrict personal information unless you've been friended.

LinkedIn is another good site - usually more for professional purposes, though, and often e-mail addresses are included in profiles.

As long as someone's listed in the White Pages, you should be able to get an address via AnyWho or WhitePages.com

ZABA or People Search. I even found the house of my mother's cousin in New Jersey and then googled the map.
I also do geneology and you can access many sites like Ancestry.com from your local public library.

Well, I thought I'd just throw it in there: I googled my husbands last name - and found his 2 cousins that he had never met...living about 30 minutes away from us...which was amazing considering that they all grew up on the other side of the world.
Hurrah for Google!

Facebook may be a good place to start. You can try and find them and send them a friend request with a message. Almost everyone is on there that I've looked for.

Facebook if they're on there. I have searched Facebook many a time and have NEVER been asked for a credit card number... Try again. Once you find the person on facebook you can request they be your friend and the message goes straight to that person - you don't need to know their email address...

I've used ancestory.com, zabasearch.com, whitepages.com and people.yahoo.com, but you might try googling 'find people for free' and they may give you sights I didn't know of as well. Or similar search terms like that. When I googled it, it gave me a few I hadn't heard of like pipl.com and skipease.com. I have heard of whowhere.com and 411.com before, but there are more pages to view also in the search. Good luck and have a great day!
