Hi my parents are nice enough to let my family and myself use their timeshare. We have used it quite a number of times. Its always been fairly reasonable BUT....I have been checking the prices on places to stay since November thinking that some prices had to come down..especially with the current economy. We are staying for two weeks and the average place seems to be about $800 a week. This is just for the timeshare, Does anyone know of a better deal? We always get a 2 bedroom unit. We have 3 kids..total 5 people. Years past my grandmom stayed with us but she is not going this time with us.

What can I do next?

$800 a week sounds really good for a 2 bedroom timeshare unit! But it doesn't hurt to shop around. There is a timeshare resort close to Disney (well, there are many of them!) that I know of called Orange Lake Resort. You can go online and check out their prices. You can also go to www.timesharesonly.com and check out the prices to rent a timeshare from someone. We used that website and it worked out great.

We're going there next month and I think that's a really good price. We have one week under our timeshare and the next week we're paying for - we were quoted $1,750 at Marriott Harbour Lakes for one week in a 2 bedroom w/ the owners discount - too much!!!

I tried to get those special get away deals time shares offer but there was none available for the week we needed.... and they were like $300 - $400 for a one bedroom. I ended up using Marriott points for 5 nights and paying for only 2. Much better!! So $800 is a lot, but I don't think it's crazy for their high season.
