I am going to be in front of a lot of people in a dress this weekend. I found a cute dress but my mommy pouch sticks out!! I was thinking of wearing a girdle under the dress. The problem -I am six weeks pregnant. Is wearing a girdle going to effect a baby at six weeks???

Why hide the "mommy pouch"? After four kids, no one's going to expect you to be a super model, but I understand wanting to look nice. :) I personally think that at six weeks you should be fine wearing something to cinch your waist, but make sure it's not so tight that it restricts blood flow. I'd call your OB/GYN just to make sure, but I think you should be fine. Have fun this weekend. :)
When I asked my OB she told me that as long as it is not painful, go for it and I was 10 weeks when I needed to do it, so im sure that at 6 weeks you should be perfectly safe to do it!

I don't know if I would wear a girdle at 6 weeks (your OB would know best), but I would highly recommend Spanx! I wore them a couple of times when I was newly pregnant, but not so pregnant that I had a nice large belly yet... Have a great time at your event this weekend!
I think wearing a griddle is a bad ideal, you should be proud of your baby bump and show it off!
Since you are pregnant, I would go as a beautiful pregnant woman, no "restrictions".
if you want to wear a gurdle it isnt going to effect your baby. i got married when i was 5 months pregnant and needed to wear one so my dress would fit! It fit a week before but didnt fit that day! we called the doctor and they said that it wouldnt hurt my baby!
