"Enlarged Uterus"

There are a lot of different causes for a uterus to be larger than expected in pregnancy. There is almost no use speculating, because it could be totally normal for you, or the two possibilities you mentioned. If you were in an ER, they are really not experts in feeling the size of your uterus, so it could just be an unskilled examiner. The only way to know is to have an ultrasound by an OB... if you are having to wait for a while for Medicaid, you should just call anyhow. Prenatal care is free! It is very important to know what is going on with your baby and yourself :)

Well, I am always 1 month ahead due to the fact that I don't miss my period the 1st month.

If you've applied for Medicaid you should be able to see a doctor now who accepts it, and they will bill Medicaid when it comes through as it's retroactive back to the month you applied. That's the only way you'll know for sure as there's many reasons that could cause it✿

You really need to get in to an OB as soon as possible! No prenatal care can cause a number of serious issues for your unborn baby! My husband and I just adopted a special needs child due to her biological mother not receiving prenatal care!

Even in the state of IN, Medicaid will go back 3 months to cover your medical bills, so call around and try to get in to someone, of try to find a free clinic in your area. I also know a lot of pharmacies will give prenatal vitamins to you for free. Good luck to you and your little one!!

I can tell you for a fact that at least in Ohio you can go to any doctor that accepts medicaid and they will go back after you receive your card and bill medicaid for it. You should have seen a doctor at 10-12 weeks, and at 19 weeks are about due for an ultrasound to check growth and make sure things are good. This sort of thing is very important and actually the longer you wait the harder it will be to find a doctor, many doctors won't want to see you when you haven't had prenatal care for so long.

Just a note, it was my experience that the doctor will bill you, but you won't have to pay anything up front, just keep the bills and when you get your card take them in and they will send it all off to medicaid. It scared me when I got a bill in the mail but it really was east to get taken care of, and I never paid anything.

both things you mentioned could definitely cause you to measure larger than a typical 19 week pregnant woman. You could be off by a couple of weeks on your due date. You could be bearing multiples. Either way, I think it would be unlikely that there is any actual PROBLEM. Hope things fall into place quickly with the medicaid so you can get some prenatal care and find out for sure! :)
