My daughter is 1 yr 1 mo old i'd like to get her ears pierced, but I don't know where to go, or the average cost... I also need to know, do i need to purchase the earrings?
check with your pediatrician. our ped does them in her office. i am not sure of the cost but i feel much safer doing that than taking my daughter to somewhere in the mall.
Most pediatricians will do ear piercing. You can also go to a place like Claire's in the mall. At Claire's the piercing is free (at least it used to be) if you bought the earrings there.

Mom of four (three girls). Ok, go to any mall and there will be about 20 shops that pierce ears. Clairs or the Icing is the one who has done all of our ears. U buy the earrings and the use those earing to pierce the ears. Its quick and simple. Call if u have any questions. M. ###-###-####
My daughter got hers pierced at sweet and sassy in Southlake, I forget how much it was.
I've been told that pediatricians do this. You may want to check with yours.

After my baby Doc approved it we took her to the Piercing Pagonda at Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville. The lady there did and awesome job and instructed us on how to clean her ear and everything. They also provide cleaning solution and follow-up care (you can bring your baby in and they will check it). I had also asked around and a lot of people recommended them to us. She got her ear pierced when she turned 6 months and she is now 9 months and we have had no problems. They will also show you the different earrings they have there and you purchase it there. We chose the basic 14k gold studs for her. But they have a variety and little diamonds. The piercing is free you just pay for the earrings. They start at 20.00 and up.

Claires did my daughters and did a great job! They did both ears at the same time so she didnt feel it twice. I think w/ the solution and earrings (which are the sensitive kind for kiddos) it was about $35.00. It can go up if you want 10k or 14k gold and such. I had mine dont there as a kid and I know several people who have had there kids done there and have said they were pleased too! Good Luck...try to keep your little one focused on an item and keep her in her stoller and hopefully she wont cry..also give asprin before you go...I did and I think it helps.
