I know I've seen a collection box at Sears Optical at the mall.
Hi ladies! When I was cleaning out my closet, I found several pairs of old eyeglasses that I no longer use. Does anyone know of a place that I can donate them?? My ophthalmologist doesn't take them so I'm not sure where to go. I really don't want to just throw them out because the frames are in great shape and they're still stylish so I'm sure that somebody could use them. Thanks!
Thank you for the suggestions! As soon as I read the responses about the Lions Club, I remembered that there is one right in my neighborhood. :)

Lenscrafters has a bin that you can place old glasses in and they are for the Lions Club. They use the glasses to provide glasses to those that cannot afford them. I always put my old ones in there after getting new ones... even if I do not get my glasses done at Lenscrafters.
The Lions Club takes donated eyeglasses and finds homes for them with people who have a need - check this out...

You may want to ask at the local school near you. Ours has a collections box in the office for the Lion's club. Or, I guess you could call the Lion's Club to ask where the nearest collections box may be.
Lenscrafters should take them too.
