my husband has gone on atleast two business trips a year and i haven't gone with him to any of these nice resorts. even though he has brought it up.
he goes to florida in oct and wants me to come down with him. i'd only have to pay for my own plane ticket other than that i guess things are paid. i guess that is if i eat with him my food is too..not sure.

i don't know anything about florida.the resort is by napels(sp)..
what is there to do at Napels? shops? beaches? etc.
i did look at the resorts website but it's always better to get a real persons view..lol

also..
what did you do while you spouse was in meetings during the day?
did you get bored? lol
was it any fun? lol

we would leave early the 24th and his meetings would be 8-5 on the 25th and half day 26th then we'd come back late the 26th..

just looking others experiences..
thanks
T.

What can I do next?

I try to go on as many business trips as I can with my husband. We figure that we will never get a cheaper way to travel the U.S.! Take advantage of the free hotel and enjoy some free time for yourself!

My husband and I were just at a conference in Bonita Springs, FL this past March. Bonita Springs is fairly close to Naples I think. We had a great time! I slept in...went to the pool...got my nails done...read some magazines...it was heaven! So, I had some alone time during the day while he went to his meetings, and then we spent the evenings going out to eat (we didn't have to cut up anyone's food and we could eat our meals while they were still hot:)) and checking out the local entertainment. I also know that there was a new mall in the area, so shopping could be an option for you too! Florida was really nice, and we didn't even really have to leave the resort to have a good time.

One time I even packed my carry-on bag with pictures and scrapbooking supplies when I went with my husband on a business trip that I knew I was going to have a lot of time to myself. It was great to catch up on things that I don't have time to do at home.

Go on the business trip and have a good time! Mom's need to take some time for themselves. I know that we can often feel guilty about doing something for ourselves, but a couple of days away can be really refreshing! It makes me appreciate my kids even more when I realize how much I miss them when I am away! Enjoy!

I've been on one business trip (Chicago) with my husband and I just caught up on sleeping and hung out at the hotel pool during the day. (It was my first trip away from my kids in 4 years!) It was fun...and I didn't get bored at all. It was very relaxing :).

I'd go much often if I could, but with 2 kids in school and sports activities, a dog that I refuse to kennel, and no family here in Omaha, it's very difficult. (That time, I was fortunate to have my mom and aunt drive up to watch the "kids".) If you have the means and the opportunity to get away with her hubby, you should take advantage!

Business trips are a great way to get a "free" vacation. We're going (on a business trip) to MN next week and the only thing we'll have to pay for is food for me and the boys and any "extras". The company is handling the mileage and hotel. Good deal!

My friend goes on a lot of the trips her husband takes. When he is in his meetings she does all the things she knows he won't like. They do talk about what is there and she figures out what he wants to see verses what she wants to. She shops too. :-)

I haven't been to Naples, but would go on a business trip with my husband if he had one. I'd sleep in/shop/lay out/swim/exercise/spa services/read/catch up on phone calls to friends/meet him for lunch/get my nails done, etc during the day while he works. I can't imagine being bored!
