When I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding I get them, so I think mine must be somehow hormone-related. Mine make me nauseous and pretty much nothing makes me feel better except sleep. Good luck!!

the only thing that works for my migraines is excedrin. I love that stuff, its my life savor!!

Once its tolerable... then I see the chiropractor asap. When I get them my neck is usually out pretty bad.

Were they diagnosed by a doctor?
If they were, great but if your guessing that's what you have you may wanna be checked..
I'm in the hospital because I was having headaches and I thought nothing and i would just take OTC meds but after two days of not going away I came to the hospital and they did a spinal tap and said I had a viral infection. Could be meningitis or something else they not sure yet but please be sure you know exactly what you have.

I Have had migraines for years!!! I spent 8 years on Tylenol with codeine for them before my Dr. decided to figure out WHY I had them. It turns out they are sinus related and a simple decongestant (musinex) is all I need to stave off a serious migraine (I used to go blind and vomit with them). If I don't catch it in time, musinex/sudafed and advil together do the trick.
best wishes. Oh I should have added that there are many tests that now show that migraines could be caused by a lack of magnesium (my sister takes supplements and has eliminated them by this means) and some say its a lack of potassium. I eat a tomato or banana for good measure just for this reason.

I have only had them during this pregnancy. It was suggested to me that I drink some caffeine like a cup of coffee or soda. Caffeine is in most migraine medications. It has helped me tremendously! I was also prescribed Bultabitol (sp?) which is a generic for Fioricet (sp?) and when the caffeine doesn't work I have taken one of those and my headache is gone within 1/2 hour.

I love Excedrine. That being said, while pregnant and nursing I try to not take anything aside from Tylenol. I was recently introduced to Baltic Amber necklaces via a mom website I shop on a lot. babyhalfoff.com (local AZ business). They had them on there for teething infants. When I went to the website of the company who sells them regularly (www.hazelaid.com) I started reading about all amazing benefits of Baltic Amber for adults and children. So since both my husband and I suffer from headaches/migraines I decided to get both of us one to try. My husband has been on Propranol for years and Imitrex when it's really bad. Since wearing the necklace I'm thrilled to say that he has totally stopped taking his meds! I also have not had a headache since wearing mine. I'm totally convinced of their healing properties. The one my infant wears also significantly helps her teething. You should check them out. I discovered yesterday that there's another local business that sells them as well. inspiredbyfinn.com
