Do Footy Sleepers 24 months/2T or Larger Come with the Snap over the Zipper?

This is kind of a goofy question, but can you please tell me if blanket sleepers that are 24 months/2T or larger come with the snap over the top of the zipper? I have been going nuts trying to find some but can't! Is there something about a child wearing that size that they no longer put the snap there? My son is very tall/long for his age and needs some 24 month blanket sleepers for the rest of the winter, and I prefer ones where the top of the zipper is covered - don't want him stabbed under the chin in the middle of the night! :) If you know of a brand that makes them or know that they don't exist, I would really appreciate the info - thanks!

Thanks, everyone - I really appreciate the info! I'm happy to know some people do make the larger sizes with snaps!

My grandma bought some for my girls at Kmart that have the snap over zipper. They are nice and go up to 5T. They are on clearance for only a few dollars. Good luck!

I don't know if they make them or not, but they do make ones that sip backwards, but are more like a sleep sack if you're really worried about being stabbed by the zipper. I have 2 kids, though, and no stabbings yet...so you're probably ok with no snap.

Yeah, I've noticed that same thing. One thing you can do, although it is an alternative to the footy-sleeper altogether, is to by the Halo SleepSack for toddlers ("Wearable blanket") - it's different from the baby ones because it has holes for the feet to come out. And I've never owned one, but I did use the baby sleep sacks for all three of my kids - loved them. They all zip from the top down (so no zipper dangling near their neck). So I'm assuming the toddler one does the same... here's the link to their website:

Good luck!

Hi, my son got some jammies for Chritmas with the tab over the top of the zipper. They were brand "Wonderkids." I think that's walmart. Hope that helps!

I know EXACTLY what you're going through. I, too, searched through pajamas at store after store--they don't have them anywhere. My problem was that my daughter learned how to unzip them, & would get her diaper off during naptime & "play". Then I would have a huge mess to clean up. For some reason, they don't have that snap after 18 months--I don't know why. But I ended up having to put her in a onesie no matter what she slept in over it, just so she couldn't get naked and access her diaper. I hope your son doesn't have this problem too. Sorry!

We have some size 2T footie PJ's that have Tigger on the front - I think they came from the Disney store.

Yes they do! I have a 24m and 2T from Old Navy. I'm not sure if they still have them since I bought them a couple of years ago. Good luck!

C.,
The Children's Place has footy sleepers that are 100% cotton and they have fabric that goes over the zipper and snaps. I never thought of the zipper hurting a child. I always thought that fabric with the snap was there to make it difficult for a child to unzipper his pjs. I guess there are sometimes several reasons why a company makes something a certain way.
I think long sleeves with footy bottoms would be enough to keep your son warm now that it is slowly getting warmer. I loved the pjs I mentioned above. They go up to a 4T. I was dissappointed when I could not buy them anymore when my kids got bigger.

dear C.,
i take care of a three year old and he wears the blanket sleepers with the zipper on top. heres what his mother told me. she got them at k-mart about three months ago for 4.99 ea.he wears a 4 toddler so i'm sure if k-mart is still selling them you should have no problem finding the size you need. hope this helps you.
sincerely,

3T - Old Navy has the buttons. My daughter has a ton of them. So does the children's place. She has them from there too. Good luck!

Old Navy actually makes the footy sleepers with the snaps on top. My 4-year-old is wearing some right now. I feel the same way about the pokey zipper tops :D
