Has anyone here taken their four year old to Disneyland in Southern California?

I would like to take my son in January, when it is cold and grey here in Oregon.

Is anyone aware of affordable package deals that involve air fare and lodging and the like?

Thanks.

P.

Have you considered Lego Land? It's also in SoCal, and it's geared more towards young kiddos. We took my son there for his third birthday, and it was great (shorts and t-shirts in December)! We're probably going to take him again for his 6th bday in a couple of months.

January through April Disney always offers buy one day get one day free to the local residents. We buy our tickets at the supermarkets here whereever they sell gift cards. Its the best deal you will find I believe, unless you are military. And anyone can buy them once you get to CA!
My 4 year old cannot get enough Disney! Have fun!

I live close by, so I don't know of any packages. But I want to say your four year old will LOVE it! And I have to disagree with the recommendation for Legoland. Disneyland is SOOOO much better!

Check out Alaska Airlines. They have some good packages to Disneyland. Or plan you trip ala carte. I just found some good fares on Alaska Air for the Christmas holidays so check out the fare calendar for January. Then check tripadvisor.com for hotels near the park. We stayed at the Alpine Inn last June for less than 100$/night. It was a 15 minute walk to the park, there are at least 6-8 reasonably priced motels within a 10 minute walk to the park entrance. Saves the $15 parking fee and staying that close makes it easy to go back to the room for a nap midday. When I go to So Cal, I find Alamo has the best deals out of LAX and BUR, not sure about Orange County SNA airport. Have fun, hope you get some sunshine while you're there.

I live here in AZ so we drive when we want to go, so I don't know of any package deals. However, I would like to tell you that each time that we have gone, about 3 times now, we have stayed at the Annabella Hotel. AWESOME hotel! You can buy shuttle bus tickets and the bus will take you to and from the park.
Enjoy your time! Your four year old will absolutely enjoy Toon Town! :-) Toon Town is a good walk, so if that is the place you want to go first with your little one; as you go in the gate you'll see a Train ride. Take that train to Toon Town. :-)

I have taken my kids to Disneyland. I live about 60 miles from Disneyland. The weather can be unpredictable. It could be 40 degrees, windy and misty, or 70+ degrees with sunshine.

Yes, there are packages offered by Disney and others. The best way is to look on the internet. Southwest usually has the best airfares. Go to their website and sign up for their specials.

Good luck to you and yours.
