Disneyland - Sacramento, CA

It might be a little different with a bigger one but I went on every ride but matterhorn and spacemountain with my 3 month old in the baby bjorn. If you are going with more than one adult there is also a baby clause where you go through the line and one person stays back with baby and when the group gets back you swap one out to stay with baby and the one who stayed gets to go I think with everyone else or at least one other person. Super useful wish I'd known about it!

We went when my daughter was 8 months old and took her on everything in Fantasyland as well as Pirates of the Carribean, the Pooh ride in Frontierland, and the Buzz Lightyear ride in Tomorrowland. She was too young to be scared and old enough to enjoy the lights, movements, music. We also took advantage of the baby care center at the end of mainstreet for diaper changes and breastfeeding. Babies can go on a lot of rides at both Disneyland and California Adventures. On rides that your older daughter would like to go on that the baby can't ride, you can get a switch pass. That means that you go on the ride with the older one, while daddy waits with the baby, then daddy rides while you wait. Your older one doesn't even have to get off the ride between turns. My older daughter called this a 'double dip'. Super fun for her.

When we went to Disneyland with our daughter, she was 7 months at the time. At Disneyland, we took her on Jungle Cruise, Small World (which she loved a lot), and Winnie the Pooh. At California Adventure, we took her on the carousel and Monsters Inc. I avoided the "scarier" rides such as Haunted Mansion, Pirates but if you think your baby will be ok with the dark, then I don't see why you can't take your baby girl on it. You know your baby best. Do what is right for your baby. Have fun!

I took my 8 month old on rides where I could hold him. Pirates ride, Monsters Inc., Small World, Alice in Wonderland (not the Tea Cups of course), Casey Jr. etc...he LOVED it...even the dark rides. Have a good time and you'll get the feel of what the baby likes to ride or if they even care :-)

I've taken my babies at that age. They liked it too. Some of the scarrier rides for them, like Pirates of the Caribean, they just sorta hunkered in and clung on, but never cried or fussed. I found they get tired and sensory overload so they sleep most of the time. Have fun. I Love Disneyland.

You will probably have to judge that by your little one's reaction to the first few rides. It may turn out that you and hubby will need to work out a plan to take turns riding with your five year old while the other parent stays with the baby watching part of the time. But, most of the rides that are ok for the five year old are probably safe enough to take the baby on as long as you are cautious and hold on to her securely.

We went to Disney three weeks ago with our 3 1/2 year old, and friends that have a 6 year old and an 8 month old baby. Your entire family will be able to ride MOST of the rides with the baby in your lap - the only exceptions are Big Thunder, the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Space Mountain ( the more thrilling rides). For THOSE rides, Disneyland offers a "parent switch" type of policy on the rides that do have a height requirement - you are able to stand in line with the rest of your family, baby in tow, and when you get up to the front and your turn, the parent holding the baby gets to "wait" while the designated parent takes the other older child/children on the ride. When the rest of the family returns from their time on the ride, you can hand the baby off, and the other parent can take a whirl themselves if he/she desires to do a run alone.
Other than that, Id say switch off with your husband every "other" thrill ride to watch the baby - the rest of Disney is baby friendly.

Just as a note, the height requirement for the "rollercoaster" type rides is 40 inches tall - Indiana Jones is a 48" inch. Id measure your daughter before you go so that you already know which rides she will be able to go on. At 3 1/2, my daughter is already 42 inches tall and was able to ride on everything, and DID! Be prepared, however, to be stopped and "measured" at several points while waiting in line if your little one "looks" to be on the shorter side.

Ias with my daughter and her husband when they took their 6 month old daughter to Disneyland. She had a ball, taking pictures with the characters, riding the rides and watching the parades.

We took her on all the rides in Fantasyland. If the rides are jerky, you just have to hold on the child a little tighter so the body is not jerking around. You can also take the baby on its a Small World, Pirates of the Carribbean, Monorail. You can go to Toon Town. We took the baby on Roger Rabbits ride but with this ride you can not put the baby on your lap, the baby has to sit down in the seat but you can hold the baby tight because that ride is jerky.

Strollers: you can rent the strollers there but you have to remember you can not take them to downtown Disney, so I suggest you bring your own stroller (double stroller so you don't have to carry the 5 year when she gets tired) and then you can take that anywhere. Bring plenty of snacks for both children because they are expensive once you get into the park. Don't forget the blanket.

If there is an adult going with you who don't like riding all the scary rides, you can have them watch the baby while you and your husband enjoy the rides with the 5 year old. That is why my daughter and her husband bring me along. I love going to Disneyland, but my stomach can no longer handle them fast rides so I watch my granddaughter who is now 3 1/2 when they go on them roller coaster rides but now she loves the Matterhorn.

You can always go to City Hall and ask them what rides you can take the baby on. Also while you are at City Hall, make sure you pick up a Birthday Button for your daughter and a First Time Disneyland button for everyones first time. With the birthday button the Disney Cast Members will wish her a Happy Birthday all the time when they see the button. I also heard you can get a free ice cream at one of the carts, but you can also ask that question at City Hall.

We just took our almost 2 year old son and I think there are lots of rides you could take the baby on. Mostly the boat rides, like Storybook Land, Jungle Cruise, Small World, and Finding Nemo. They're really gentle and fun. She'll probably love all the new things to look at. You can rent strollers there if you like or bring your own. There seemed to be stroller parking EVERYWHERE. Be sure there's somewhere she can nap, even if it's just the stroller with a blanket over it, because they get extremely worn out from all the stimulation. Have a great time!

i know you can get on alot of the rides with your baby...once thing i wanted to say was that IF you are taking your daughter on her actual birthDATE, you'll need to take some proof of birth, and you'll get the option of getting a fastpass for all the rides(up to 5 people) or $60 spending money. My nephew took the money because there was like 15 of us!

My son was 10 months old when we went to Disneyland. There are lots of rides for little ones to go on. My daughter was older, so Dad and I took turns going on some of the faster roller coasters and things with her. But I was surprised how many things we could all go on. I guess a lot of it will depend on whether or not your daughter is timid or the rides frighten her, but my little guy had a blast.
Of course we had his stroller and diaper bag, etc and at first we were worried about just leaving it when all 4 of us were on a ride, but we were surprised to see how many other people just left their strollers so we gave it a whirl and no one ever bothered anything. It was pretty cool.
Anyway, I know you'll have a great time!

We took our daughters last October. Our oldest just turned three and our youngest was six months. She rode on all the rides that did not require height and was just fine =)

We just went to Disney World in January with our 3 kids. My youngest daughter was just barely 6 months old. She went on almost all of the rides and loved them. I've had many friends go with their babies as well and all have had the same great experience. Disneyland is very accommodating. You'll know which rides won't be suitable for her.

YES! We took our 5 yo son and 2.5 month old to Disneyland in May.I took the baby (and nursed her) on Pirates, It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise etc. She did just fine and seemed to enjoy the sights and sounds. Make sure you take it slow and easy with lots of rest periods. Also, visit the Baby Center for feeding and changing. It's cool and quiet and a lovely place for your baby to get away from the stimulation of Disneyland. Enjoy your trip!

We have taken our kids when they were little. What really worked for us is to make sure you get rest. We would go out mid morning stay until the afternoon, then come back to our room and we would all nap. Then we would go back out again. I have to admit, the baby didn't go on all the rides his big sister went on. So hopefully you are taking another adult than can help or go on the rides with your 5 yo. Take a back pack baby carrier or a sling for sure...We had our stroller too. Have fun!

We took our son for the first time when he was 8 months old and he loved it! You can go on most of the rides in fantasy land. We also went on pirates of the caribbean and into the haunted mansion. He was in the baby bjorn then so it was easy to keep track of him. For some rides we had to take him out and sit him in our lap. We didn't do any of the fast rides-but the shows were good-especially if you're going to Disney California. Disneyland also has a great care center on mainstreet for diaper changing and feeding.

The baby rides are fine for babies. I took my first-born there when he was three months! (For whatever that was worth.) Probably most of the rides your 5 year-old will be allowed on will be fine for the baby.

Babies can get on anything without a height restriction. All kids rides, pirates of the Caribbean, haunted mansion etc. Ask for a riders switch pass for rides that the baby cannot get on. Have fun!

I think you can take her on most rides. For me personally, I would not take my 10 month old on several of the rides except in Bugland at California adventure, plus the Mickey and Handy Manny live Show is great for little ones and your older daughter.:). ITs a small world, Winnie the Pooh, Nemo's alternative room ride, Tom Sawyer's island but not the caves, Toontown but not the fast one, even Alice in Wonderland gets jerky and I am always thinking about neck stuff...there are more but that type of ride... parade ...princess and character events and meals, mild train rides, autotopia requires 12 month age...We took my then 6 month old and she stayed in her stroller..but 10 months is a a more wiggly age...have lots of snacks and toys to rotate..drinks...

I don't have much to add to the other responses, but make sure you hold baby tightly! On Pirates of the Caribbean, the beginning is almost pitch black and you go down a short fall. Unless you've been on the rides a ton of times, it can take you a bit by surprise. Your 10 month old is too young to be scared, but just make sure you hold on tightly.
