Disney Character Meals

Chef Mickeys is great! You may want to get on WDW or AllEars.net to look into the different menus as you need to make reservations 90 days out. I would also recommend calling and asking the "Cast Members" for suggestions, they are awesome to talk to. You can also get on the Mickey Mom's club if you haven't tried that. Have fun on your trip!

Cinderella's Castle meal is like you have stepped into a story book and are royalty.

Chef Mickey's is a wild all out crazy blast that is hyper.

Both are great, but different in atmosphere. Both have the characters come up to your table and you get autographs. Chef Mickeys is NOT in the park, so you can do it on a non park day which is really great as you don't want to waste your park time eating a long meal, you know?

We did Chef Mickeys with a 3 1/2 year old. He loved it. They dance around the place and wave their napkins. We did breakfast there which was very kid friendly. They have mickey shaped waffles, eggs, pizzas, fruit and lots of sweet stuff.

Another one she may like is Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. They also have a buffet. Its so bright and pretty there. Pooh & Friends visit each table.

We had intended to do the princess dining but it was booked for the days we were there. That may also impact your decision!! Have a blast!!

We have not tried Chef Mickey, but we did have lunch at Cinderella's Round Table this past May. My kids are 4 and 6 and absolutely loved it, even our son. We had to make reservations over three months in advance, so if you do plan to go, try to book early. Even three months in advance only had openings left for 1:30 in the afternoon for lunch. The meal is a bit pricey, but along with the lunch, you also get a nice picture with Cinderella that's ready for you by the end of the meal. It's worth it for the experience for the kids. We're glad we went.

G., we just returned from a trip to Disney with our 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old daughters. We attended 3 character meals while there. We had lunch with Pooh and Friends at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom(Pooh, Eyore,Piglet and Tigger). Next we had breakfast with Donald and Friends at Animal Kingdom (Donald,Daisy,Mickey and Minney) and finally we had breakfast with the Princess's at Epcot. (Belle,Aurora,Jasmin,Mulan and Snow White) Fortunately we had waited in the lines previously to see Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. The wait times at the parks to see main characters such as Mickey, Cinderella etc can be long, ie: 70 min so I think it is totally worth it to try the character meals. You get a fun, festive meal and get to spend some fun time with each character. Remember to make your reservations as far in advance as allowed. Good luck and have a great time.

Either one is great. Cinderella's is cool because you get to eat in the castle. The food is good there and it's a little pricey, but definitely worth it. Very important though: Make reservations MONTHS in advance. These things fill up and you don't want to wait too long to make reservations. Especially if you're going during a busy time.

I would think either one would be fun. We went to Disney when my younger daughter was 2. We had breakfast with Mickey and friends in Animal Kingdom. She loved it. There will also be times when the princesses and other characters will be out in the park. I think they have a list of times and places the characters will be out for autographs. When we found a princess would take pictures with them. We also bought an embroidered hat with the princesses on it and they would autograph their picture on the hat. Sorry if this doesn't help with your decision making but whatever you decide I'm sure you will have a great time and make some very wonderful family memories.
