Is there a way to clean out rubber ducky bath toys? My daughter has quite a collection of duckies that are kinda dirty inside and I know I could just buy new ones, but some of them are special because of who gave them to her and such. So is there any way to clean their insides? Thanks.

What can I do next?

I always used to put bleach and hot water in a bucket and fill & squirt, fill & squirt then soak. Then give them a few more fill/squirts.

Denise is right! I let mine soak overnight though to be on the safe side! Also at work they use odo ban to help clean the toys and stuff.

I agree that bleach and water would work (nothing kills germs like bleach!)but a safer alternative would be vinegar - I am a bit paranoid so vinegar has been my cleaner of choice since my daighter came around. For the outside, mixing vinegar and baking powder makes a nice foaming cleanser.

It's mold... yuck! I would give 'em a toss. You could also try washing them in a mild bleach wash. To prevent it you need to get all the water out and then turn them upside down.
Quack!

We have a ton of duckies too. Here's what I did. I took one and soaked it in a small amount of bleach and water. Then I took it for a test drive in the dishwasher (after i squirted the bleach water out of it). It survived. =) But seeing as how each dishwasher is different, I would take one of your non sentimental ones and try it. Good Luck!
