My 10 year old daughter wants a DS for Hannukah. Does anyone know the differences between the two. The DSi XL is a bit more pricey, just wondering if we should spend the extra $$, or just go with the DSI. Thanks!
radio shack has DS lite on sale for $89 a case with 3 stylus, & ear phones for $3.97, i got this for my 6 yr old
The DSi and DSi XL are the same but the XL is larger. When it came out Nintendo said they made it larger for family use since many players tend to paly multi-player games and all want to be able to see the screen.
Keep an eye out for special deals since Christmas is coming up. Toys R Us usually puts together a package of some kind for either one.
DSI XL has an internet browser plus cameras where the DSI does not. We got the DSI this past weekend from Toys R US for $129 but we got the accessory kit for free which had the car charger, extra stylus, screen protectors, carrying case & ear phones. Wal-Mart's black Friday ad has it for $89.00. My son is only 6 so I didn't think we needed all the bells and whistles.
I believe the difference is the size of the screen. There may be a small difference in the actual size too.
