Decorating (Curtain) Advice

I have no decorating skills whatsoever :) So I need some advice!
I have posted a picture as my profile photo of the small window in my kitchen. I have another large window that I have a fishtail swag and scroll curtain hooks picked out to hang. I was going to do it for both, but as you can see this window is pretty small and there isn't much room (especially on the left) to hang any type of curtain.
So what do I do? Do I find something that will match and work for both windows? Do I get the swag I want for the big window and leave this one as is? Please help :)
EDIT: I would like them to match ~ or to at least coordinate. I am just not sure there is enough room to hang anything (at least on the outside edge of the window frame) on that small window. So if I can't hang anything, what do I do?

What can I do next?

Make your own in a coordinating fabric. Just tack it up with nail head trim. No need to sew or anything. Like this, (scroll down till you see the blue pad kitchen window)):

she has tons more ideas cataloged here:

Or hang both swags on the windows using the nailhead tacks, no need for curtain rods.

Pretty view! I would leave it open, do a roman shade or, a box type curtain on the top. I have the same window, just a little bigger, I can send you a pic of mine. I have a box curtain on mine.

if both windows are in the same room, then you definitely want them to match!

Go for a swag on the smaller window, with a smaller swoop & less drama. That way the "feel" will be the same, just on a smaller scale.

Whatever type of curtain/shade you decide to do, hang it inside the window frame. You can get curtain rods that fit inside the frame. Some are a tension rod like a shower curtain rod, but I also remember seeing some that screw into the inside frame. That might have been at a specialty shop or online at countrycurtains.com. Have fun decorating!
