I have a 6 yr old daughter and I would like to know is there a deodorant out on the market for little girls and boys? I notice she has starting to develop a odor under her arms.

When my daughters were starting to "odorize", I started them out with a deodorant (but *NOT* an antiperspirant). There are a couple of brands marketed to girls.
I would suggest one of the natural crystal deodorants. I am not rabidly opposed to regular antiperpirant deodorants...I use them myself, but skin in our armpits is thin and is a major area where chemicals can be absorbed.
Also, ensure that she is actually washing and rinsing her armpits well when she bathes or showers. Lingering soap can contribute to odor.
My son has gone through a couple phases where he'd needed deodorant for a few months, and then the hormones even out and he doesn't. Our doc says it's totally normal. First time was age 5.
We just stuck with a normal deodorant (not an antiperspirant).
my girl is 6 too. She uses deodorant. If you are worried about what you are putting on/in her body then Dr.Tom's all natural is great. You can get it at wal-mart.

I use baking soda. I have some in a container and use a powder puff to apply it- It works great- is non toxic and it's cheap! My 10 yr old uses it also.
I'd definitely go the natural route for a 6 year old. Head up to Whole Foods or Sprouts. They will be able to recommend something. I know Tom's is a good product. Jason's too. My thoughts are why is she so young and experiencing this. You might mention it to her pediatrician (or just contact the nurses line and leave a message) Find out if something like this is worth making an appointment. It might be perfectly normal; I just don't know. My child isn't 6 just yet so I might be facing the same thing soon.
Please, take her to your DR. She could be going through puberty early. It is becoming common in the US. If you catch it early enough, your Dr. can delay it. Treat the problem, not just the symptom! In the mean time, you could get a natural crystal deodorant. Target sells it for very cheap, as do health food stores.
I use Dove for sensitive skin deodorant for my son it works well no strong order and is great for his young skin, he already uses the soap for his mild eczema so when I saw this at Wal Mart I thought how perfect! Both my boys started using deo early, from what I remember I didnt start till I was like in about the fourth grade, times and kids hav3e defintely changed! Good Luck!
Junior Varsity Deodarant. It's all natural, so it wont harm her skin. Also try using baby powder on her again, it help keeps them dry. My only other suggestion would be to buy a deodarant like Dove (which I love and use) and "test" it on her under arm. Just put a little bit on one side and let her wear it all day, at the end of the day or the next see if there are any reactions. Good Luck!

I read in a doctor's columne where he told the mom to put a little Listerine on a cotton ball and wipe under each arm because it kills bacteria which causes the odor. I try it when I eat onion because it goes to my pores and it works. It may be too strong for your child though. Baking soda is supposed to be good too, but check with a doctor if in doubt.
How often does she bathe? I would be cautious about putting those chemicals on a developing child. The natural options at a health food store without aluminum would be the only ones I would even consider.
